CRAIG JONES DIES IN HOSPITAL ?

I've been following Jones all year, he was the underdog I wished every race would do well and hopefully win. Terrible news that he lost his life racing, my thoughts go out to his loved ones.

Basically they were trying to make this political by showing how dangerous these bikes are to the public. Basically they're using a great racer's tragic death for their own political agenda. It really makes me sick.

That would be the liberal media that is also anti-gun among other things. They want us all to live in a nanny state, protected by the govt of course.

This is devastating, another great rider lost this year, I can't remember if there have ever been so many in one season!

It was very obvious at the time that this was a particularly nasty crash. I'm glad that the producer immediately and sensitively cut to the long shot of the garage pit complex.

Jonesy was without doubt the most spectacular rider in contemporary short circuit racing. There was a recent thread on this forum about which riders style we all liked, and amongst current riders I immediately thought of Craig, who more than any other defied the souless sanitised era of electronics which now dominates the sport, and slewed spectacularly into every bend, smoking and stepping it out sideways to remind us that it can still be done. I'll never forget that thrilling final ride on the Daytona at Doni, when he gave Jack Valentine's squad that glorious win in what was the teams last supersport race.

Jonesy was not only fun to watch, he was seriously quick and very dedicated. Like Ollie Bridewell last year, as a genuine and infectious character, you knew everyone in the sport loved him.

Such talent unfulfilled, but will always remain an inspiration to others to come.

R.I.P

That is not "liberal" media but conservative media. Conservative controled media limiting peoples freedoms. They want us to live in an constricted controled state.

Let's not bring politics into this discussion. I didn't know much or follow Craig Jones career...but seems like the guy put his heart out everytime he strapped on the helmet. He had a bright future ahead of him... i'd go out on a limb and say that he would of become a better rider than James Toseland, only because he had soo much heart and raw potential.
