CRAIG JONES DIES IN HOSPITAL ?

Thats to bad, sorry to hear it.This sport that we have chosen as our own is just plain dangereous. We know it,the riders know it,but i believe sometimes we all forget just how fine a line these guys walk till something terrible happens that brings the reality of bike racing back home.I went to Mid Ohio over the weekend for the Superbike races and it never ceases to amaze me what these guys do in such close quarters and at deadly speeds.
RIP young rider

I still can't believe this.

I'd been a huge fan of his since 03. I'd just bought a yellow Daytona 600 so for me he really stood out from the other riders - especially with that spectacular riding style of his.

RIP Jonesy.

lots been removed now peeps taking the piss

Absolutely terrible news. I was sickened when I saw it happen.

Spare a thought for Pitt too. he must feel terrible. I remember when Wayne Gardner hit Uncini (or somebody else) and went close to never racing again. It was only when the guy recovered that Gardner could race again.

He must be really feeling it!

, its not his fault though and im sure nobody blames him because he had no other option but to go in that direction.

I knew he was in all sorts of problems when I watched it live on TV.
Sickening accident. I feel for his family and his team.

RIP Craig

What a tragedy. Deaths are the worst thing that can happen for bike racing. We have to respect that this is a VERY dangerous sport, but this was such a freak accident. I mean how many high-sides have we seen in motorcycle racing where the rider walks away. Getting hit like that was just awful.

My god though, in the US the first time I heard about this crash was on the news the first thing they said was that they were racing stock 600 sport bikes. Basically they were trying to make this political by showing how dangerous these bikes are to the public. Basically they're using a great racer's tragic death for their own political agenda. It really makes me sick.

Condolences to his family and friends
RIP Craig Jones

there was know where for pitty to go to avoid him, he had no time at all to react at all. i hope this doesn't affect him for to long.

i got it on sky + and it looked bad to me. was def the impact of the other rider that done it imo.
you could tell he was out cold straight away, even his body was twitching as he lay on the track!
