It's ruined WSBK. The idea that I would have to watch the race until the very finish to find out the winner is preposterous.

It's also very dangerous. Did you see how close those guys were? That's totally not safe.

Our only hope is that the series gets snatched up by someone smart enough to get rid of the ridiculous control tire. It has completely ruined WSBK and made the racing absolutely unwatchable.

Sarcasm meter overloading

for the most

post of the year

I voted no, I think its good for racing not to have a control tyre unless things go to hell like last year but thats was Michelins own fault, Thankfully they got their act toghther, Even though I dont like either brand and would rather see a full grid of Dunlops but thats just bcos my roadbikes are fitted with Dunlops, the Motard and Motox are fitted with Metlezers
<

Most of us will never use tyres of that standard but its good to think that some of all that data will make it way into a tyre that I/We have a choice in buying

Yes I did and I was on the edge of my seat for every second of it. Thats what defines and makes motorbike racing into the art that it is

I think you might be following the wrong sport

Just curious Odessa, what bikes are they and on what specific Dunlops?

ZXR750RR and an R1, the 207's

I should add that I preferred the Metlezers M1's but when changing a set every 3000 or so they are expensive and I never get to take the bikes out on a track, IMO the Dunlop's are great in all weather conditions and have excellent traction

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Arrabbiata1 @ May 14 2008, 06:55 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>What vintage?

2004 but like my Motard I want to change to a twin
<
<
, the ZXR is just for dry weather and nostalgia really, It's the bike I always wanted from the first day I saw one and still looks the biz today

I would like to see a control tire. I'm selfish, I want to see closer racing. I could care less about a tire war. That said there have been some good points that competition can breed better tech that "theoretically" should make its way into the commercial market.

Yes, control tire.

Bring in a pile of tires, then have everybody put their name in a hat, then call out names and issue tires from the top. All fair.

Finally there is someone else who practices this timeless internet artform.

Commendable.

If it's so sarcastic that people's mouths start to pucker up, you're halfway home.

Sprinkle of few of these
<
in there next time. You'll get a much bigger reaction from the people who take themselves to seriously
