Championship battle

They will say he didn't deserve it because he didn't win many races. Nicky will never get any respect unless he becomes more dominant than Rossi race after race.

I just thought this was interesting.

Saw this and just had to bring it to the top of the list in light of what many have said now that Hayden is the champ.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BEN @ Sep 29 2006, 07:14 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>See, the thing many people forget (not implying you Doc, is that MotoGP is a team sport, the rider & bike are just a small cog in the wheel. What Hayden & his team have done well, is provide a package that is reliable and fast. Nicky is one of the most consistent dudes on the grid, and thats why he is sitting on top of the championship table! Rossi has had troubles yes, but isnt that all part of the game - isnt that why we have a constructors championship too? Nicky has kept his nose clean, which is a miracle this season, considering what incidents other riders have been in.

Like I said, I dont particular like Nicky - but no one can tell me if he wins the championship that he doesnt deserve it - thats absolutley ridiculous!

At the end of the day, points mean prizes............and Hayden has a big bag of points, and its bigger than Valentino's!

Yup.
