Theft is rife with GP rider's having to buy there own parts.

Speaking of thieves, did u hear Cals quote when talking to Wheeler post qual? He said, "Some ........ journalist asked me yesterday why i was last?" i wonder who he was referring to? Haha

By the way, did anyone see where Cal has the new upgraded brakes this weekend. Did Herve spring for them, or did donations cover it?. Either way Dovi has to feel like he got shafted for buying his own. Good on you Cal for standing up to what is right.

What the weak minded neo boppers dont realize is all the insulting we are doing to Stoner is just our caveman way of expressing our displeasure at seeing the greatest talent of our generation exit the sport too early.

43 pages of baiting and these guys bite every time. I dont think any rider has ever warranted 43 pages. Not one person I can recall has said they are glad to see him go.

You missed my post then, besides being the current fastest and most talented rider on the grid he hasn't done .... for the sport except complain about it. There's more to being a champ than just winning. Most people give back when they reach the pinnacle of their sport, but not the moaner.

I agree, deliberately setting off on the path to all conquering glory, risking it all including the entire families assets, then getting paid millions and achieving what you set out to do-only to throw it all back in everyone's faces-demonstrates quite a narcissistic yet completely obsessive and frail personality IMO. I'm happy to see him go, there are plenty of extremely talented riders in the class, and many more lining up, who are happy to be there, entertaining to watch and fun to listen to, who work proactively with their sponsors who pay their 'monster' salaries, and are happy to answer a few questions from the worlds media each race weekend. If Casey is in pain, then leave-good move, hopefully he can find something to do that makes him happy.

Otherwise the race is shaping up ok, less than a second between the top 9 is good, hopefully the tyres will play a role and Cal and Dovi can show the Repsols and Jorge a wheel or two to shakes things up.......Ducati look better than usual, but last year here was the same, no real progress by the looks of things. CRT's continue to embarrass themselves.

This from a bloke who said stoner would just have to learn not to complain when rossi kicked his ass, both of which were apparently exemplified by the jerez torpedo last year and stoner's reaction to it. His alternative tactic of almost always kicking rossi's ass fairly severely since then would seem to have been rather effective.

It is fairly clear from what he has said in the interviews pertaining to his retirement, to all but those who exemplify the attitude involved, when and why stoner became disaffected with the sport . He would seem to be unaware himself that he wasn't genuinely ill in 2009. Just supposing he was actually ill, the general reaction from those of your ilk, ie that he was faking it, then proceeding to viciously gloat about him being "mentally broken" by the marvellous one, may have felt just a little unjust. That his team (or their major sponsor anyway) to whom he had shown great loyalty and brought unprecedented success, bought in to these fantasies and immediately wanted to ditch him on their basis perhaps may have also not appeared entirely fair.

I think he had a burning desire to prove all you guys wrong, and has done so. From my perspective it would have been cool if he had continued to do so for several years, but if he doesn't want to, he doesn't want to. For such people to now claim that he owes them thanks as seems to be your current contention is a bit rich, imo.

Btw, that other rider who is his antithesis and exemplifies all that is good and pure about the sport has now left 2 teams on bad terms because they didn't show him the proper respect or something, is in the process of trashing a 3rd, and just 2 weeks ago more or less said the sport which has given him much more than it has given stoner was boring and that everyone should watch wsbk.

And he will no longer be there to beat rossi.

Crap. I apologize for making this a "Stoner Retires" thread. The good news is this thread will retire tomorrow.

Rossi spent the better part of 2008-2009 kicking Stoner's ass-wouldn't you agree? Thus Rossi's tactic of disproving the theories that were introduced in 2007-by a certain section of the community, of Casey being the 'All conquering god of motorcycle racing' was quite successful also, wouldn't you agree?

The fact that both of them have been on the Ducati during these ass-whipping probably has a lot to do with it-wouldn't you agree?

Rossi stated that the Motogp races recently are not as exciting as they use to be.......comparing this to Stoner's rant upon retirement about all things bad in Motogp-and the future of it, his personal issues with the media, and the citing of these issues as grounds for retirement, to Rossi's tweet is more than a little over-zealously argumentative........at least in my opinion

So rossi hasn't trash talked both honda and yamaha on his departure, and then proceeded to throw ducati under the bus as well? They do not perhaps constitute the whole of motogp, but leaving them aside only the crt teams remain , whom he has not had much time to denigrate thus far.

Rossi saying motogp is boring/no good is obviously different than stoner saying it, because well, he's valentino. My strong suspicion is that his problem is the same as that of his fans, that he is no longer winning.

You may remember that old skyhooks song, "Why don't you all get ......?"; I had thought stoner was too young to be familiar with it, but perhaps not. It seems to me to pertain fairly directly to stoner's situation and was not directed at their fans, as casey's comments were not directed at his own fans. You guys have been saying for years that if he doesn't like it he should stop taking the money and quit (along with calling him a one hit wonder who only beat rossi due to an extreme bike advantage in 2007 and would never repeat that championship, that one didn't really work out, did it). You have got your wish and you have been told. If you don't like it, tough.

When it comes to ass kicking, currency is all. There is also ass kicking, and their is ass kicking; 10 wins to zero is more substantial than 9 wins to 6, or 6 wins to 4 by most arithmetic.
