I think they tried to get fit and got exhausted.
Not just steroids either. A bit of crack could help them get a bit more agressive on the track, and it'd be bloody funny to watch, too. You never know what they could be taking (Wonder why the call him "Stoner"????

There are some interesting things, some things I had forgotten written above. I think they highlight some of the failed myth making that has been going on around Stoner.

The main things I drew from it were that I miss frosty, and that a few people wrongly thought pedrosa would do better than stoner.

Casey on the M1 next year will be epic.

JL v CS will be even bigger on the same bike,

Rossi, Stoner and lorenzo in weekly 3 way battles would have been sweet and very good the the sports survival. Thats hope cal gets a factory bike (other than ducati) and becomes the new alian.

Certainly, but highlighting his trash talking of Pedrosa in 250's gave me a chuckle about his "straight talking". Although I guess with hindsight he was right, but even so.

& It goes to show that you just can't tell who has the talent no matter what their situation has been. The only way to pick the stars is to give them the equipment. Who would have honestly tipped Pedrosa's career to go the way it has? Not I. Maybe someone should make Marquez read this thread, might ground him a bit.

All good points, and I did actually know what you were getting at. If accurately quoted (it was fairly third hand, I strongly suspect he didn't mention his mummy) it was ungracious and unnecessary, as has not infrequently been the case since, but not inaccurate as you say, so not necessarily at odds with him being a straight talker. I don't think anyone has ever made claims for him being gracious.

If I was to get on my usual hobby-horse I could point out that he is now being criticised for being too friendly with jorge and dani.

I have always liked a little needle between the riders, and as roger has pointed out rossi on a competitive bike against jorge and stoner similarly equipped would probably have resulted in an adequate sufficiency of such needle.

It does highlight a point though, take the hindsight away & it's very distasteful (for want of a better word) & that is really what has gotten him into trouble. If he didn't say things like that I would bloody love him to death, I'm sure that goes for a few people. Maybe it's a failing of mine, & I can respect his talent, but it just makes the difference to me.

I have no problem with needle at all...hmm I have no way of continuing this without sounding as if I'm insulting him. I'm just gonna cut it dead.

I'm sorry he is retiring so young, I was interested to see how he would go forward post VR. So I guess I'll just enjoy watching his total commitment to cornering until Valencia, & tell the grand kids I saw him win races.

You are aware that its only in your ( the boppers ) perception that he is "in trouble" aren't you ?

He's the current most winning rider, has a great wife, a beautiful new bub, lots of spare cash, a farm in the most beautiful area in the world ( seriously is a wonderful place ), and he's about to retire at 27 ............

If thats trouble ...... even I'd be lining up for some

Matter of fact your hero has been trying to get some of that "trouble" since 2006 and has failed.

Barry he's ....... retiring because of politics, I call that trouble. He got booed, I've never seen anyone booed like that, it's disgraceful. He has a popularity problem, I call that trouble in his line of work.

See you ...., you made me sound like I was having a go when I truly wasn't.

You are an .....,

got booed by whom? ........ I'd be glad to get booed by pricks

hence why that scored Stoner a big plus.

Doesn't like popularity .......... where do I start there ?

ok .......... popularity with whom? or perhaps the admiration of whom.

In the end, were he not married and with a young on, do you seriously think he would be retiring? Get real ........

The GP stuff is just timely complaints that he can now release as he is in the position to be able to do so. They are nothing new, just things that get quelled if a rider wants to stay in GP. If you remember many put there hands up behind Stoner after he had "aired" some of this stuff.

Are you 2 foot tall? I only ask because so many things go above your ....... head.

Both of your question and your reason are quite incorrect. The usual for your posts. Do you get that?

What I am suggesting is that you are incapable of posting something that is correct ........ ever.

Surely you have identified that possibility in the past with your ramblings.

Why be surprised, and chuck a monumental spatty, that you get a comment back correcting your work?

Only somebody who is

Are you 2 foot tall? I only ask because so many things go above your ....... head.

would expect otherwise.
