<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Have to agree with you here Pigeon - stoner is just too honest and open.
What this sport needs is a self serving cheat who manipulates the rules, draws favours from the powers that be because of his marketing power, and hangs his teamates out to dry if they show any potential.
I know you have a serious downer on Rossi, but I'm not sure why.
How is Rossi more self-serving than the next guy? He is a racer.
How has he cheated? Missed me.
Manipulating the rules? Nope, you've still missed me.
Drawing favours due to his marketing prowess - getting Bridgestone in 2008, I presume. Pedrosa also drew the same favours, just later in the year, but regardless, would you expect anything else from a racer?
Hanging out team-mates to dry - see Doohan/Criville or indeed any self respecting WC given the latitude (as opposed to NH) to do said hanging.
As I hope you will have noticed I am not a Rossi bopper and I have always been very impressed by Stoner, then Lorenzo and now Spies. Personally I think (head not heart) that this year may well be Stoner's 2nd WC, but I am sure that if nothing else Rossi will be there helping to make the racing good to watch a la Assen in 2007.
May the best racer win.
