Casey Stoner will make his factory Honda debut immediately after the final race of the season in Valencia.

Ducati has agreed to release the Australian to begin testing a factory RC212V machine after the 24-year-old completed his expected switch to HRC earlier this month.

Ducati boss Alessandro Cicognani confirmed Ducati had accepted a request from Honda to have Stoner on board an RC212V after the final race in Valencia on November 7.

“Casey will be free to ride for Honda at the Valencia test. On Monday after Valencia the 2011 world championship starts and we don’t have a problem with releasing Casey, “said Cicognani.

Most rider contracts run from January 1 to December 31, meaning teams must seek an early release for new recruits to begin winter testing.

Ducati has yet to confirm whether Valentino Rossi will be released by Yamaha to test starting in Valencia.

It'd be a shame if he did. I don't think it would do much for his career. I hope like hell he doesn't end up with a half-assed psuedo "factory ride" next year. Dovi has held up his end of the deal. Honda needs to do the same.

I don't really think it would be bad move at all. When Pedrosa was fighting with his bike, Dovi seamed to have a better handle on his. Ducati needs a young, adaptable rider (being Italian dosen't hurt). Dovi will also cost less than what Stoner was getting. Also with how bad this world economy is hitting Honda (look at how they've cut corners in the past) I don't see there being a rumored 3rd bike.

Ducati im thinking needs a fresh startI seriously think next year is going to relive the "Doohan vs. Criville" HRC garage days!

Or what if Pedrosa takes Stoners old seat and brings Repsol with him?!!!

That's a great news for Casey. at least he'll get used to his new team and maybe also his new bike, a month earlier.
