im a fan, have been for over a decade, been a fan of the sport for over 2 decades. got a tat, so ....... what ? planning on getting a motogp tat with all the places flags that i have been to see a race.

Actually, it was already fact before I started ranting about it at the end of last season.

Rossi attended technical meetings and he lobbied the governing body to force Bridgestone to supply him. Dorna knew nobody would give a damn and Rossi fans are probably bigger than all other fan groups combined--that's why they conspired in broad daylight.

It seems there is just no chance of having any sort of discussion about any team or rider or the direction the sport is taking without people getting into blatant fanboy crap. No I don't think he can.
Yamaha have worked on their major weakness from 2007 which was top speed and reduced the gap to a negligible level. However Ducati have not been able to reduce the gap to Yamaha in maneuverability. They have admitted they are already testing the 2009 bike with the test riders, so perhaps they realise they will be pushing .... uphill to defend any of their titles from last season.

If Melandri buys his way out of his Ducati contract then Nicky should do all he can to get the ride....in fact he should start courting them now...Casey needs a development workhorse on the team and Marco is not fullfilling that role.

Casey will defend the title, but not likely retain it....I think he will end up 4th in the chase, and a not so distant 4th.

Your right Nicky has a mathematical chance at the title this year as does Elias and West and even Edwards.....but let be honest with ourselves, it is pretty damned unlikely anyone of those guys will be number 1 at the end of this year...

Of course Casey can still defend his title, although (as others have already pointed out) it's not very likely, given the fierce competition this year. I think we will have a very clear picture of the situation in a little more than two weeks (after Mugello and Catalunya).
