Are you sure you heard that about Yam 2011 ?

That will be a strenge decision. i dont think Vale will care at all about their future bike anymore.

Sure he will. The M1 has been his baby for a long time now.

oh i forgot about all that PR bs. it Was his baby, not anymore i think.

I like Jorge But im getting tiered of seeing him win. I was really hoping for Dani to give him a fight today but he never stood a chance. The only fighting is for 8th place. The thread "Sad day for suzuki" really applied in todays race, How the hell did Bautista lose it at the end? Suzuki should go start another series with Kawasaki Housong Buell and canam and call it "moto .... prix"

<

after midway thru race, they cut to the "battle" for 12th, which i thot was funny.

Hey Chops, so Rossi isnt getting "new parts"? Is that a good thing or bad?...
<

oh, i also got a question for Babel, 1. Can u please 'look' and tell me whats the difference between Marco M. & Marco S. bike? 2. Since it was mentioned here, can u please 'look' and tell us whats under Spies &R Rossi's bike and tell us which infact is the factory spec bike? Thanx, it will b much appreciated.

Dovi, hes lucky he didnt get plowed. Great moves by Nicky and Vale to avoid killing him. Dude should count his blessings.

Lastly, gritty & gutsy performance by Randy Dep, that is if he had not faked his leg break just 4 weeks ago...

PS if u guys want to watch exciting racing, ironically, check out the AMA this weekend, race 1 DSB was decided by a .000 difference and had to go to photo to decide. The superbike race was also decided by photo!

I started laughing since I remember them as a kid watching local x-cross. Than I laughed more when I realized they make those POS three wheelers(no offense DRILL).

It's time to start the Mundalito 2. Here's how it will go. Since we know Lorenzo has the championship in the bag let's see if he can score more points in a season than anyone ever has before. On top of that let's see if he can continue the streak of either 1st or 2nd place on the podium every week. To me that's a much more exiting mundalito because it's actually based on facts and accomplishments that will go down in the books, not whimsical bopper fantasy scenarios.

The ... whooping that Lorenzo is putting to the other aliens and the rest of the field is astounding. Rossi should have really stayed home for another month rather than expose his absolute inability to stop him on a bike of his own creation. There will be no excuses if this continues till the end of the season.

Bring on San Marino where we can see the torch be passed and the official end of a legacy.

I can recall clowns like you saying very similar things in 2006 -2007..... And look how the following years panned out. When Lorenzo wins his tenth world title (providing vr doesn't win anymore-which is unlikely) then the torch will be passed, jl is certainly an amazing talent and is enjoying a big moment in the sun, and at this stage that's all it is....

Bad for him but good for his competition
<
This is exactly why i think letting your team know your leaving this early is daft. It's like it's the media press for earlier and earlier silly seasons and the riders yeild to them which ends up detrementle to there seasons.

Why is this? In 2003 Rossi announcement wasn't until PI which was very late in the season..........It a bit silly really, you can already see it with Stoner and Ducati and maybe now with Rossi. To be honest its information that could wait until Oct-Nov, mind you the Journo's don't have much to talk about on track, Jum's right-the coverage of the race for 12th was hilarious and unprecedented from memory. I'm sure if Yamaha is holding back on Rossi then the decision for Burgess and the rest of his crew should be made far easier.

While I understand your argument, it must be tough to pull the wool over the eyes of your current employer at contract renewal time.

I think even if Vale said he would make his decision after Valencia, Yamaha would already know what's coming.

Not too many secrets in the paddock nowadays.

I think it would be very ordinary of Yamaha to not provide Rossi with the same equipment as Jorge.

He has won 4 titles for them after all. Lets see how he fares at Indy before we go down that path.

Perhaps he just didn't get the setup right here? It happens.

Most points would definitely be a major achievement. In addition to most points, I'd like to see Lorenzo win 5 on the bounce like Rossi has proven he can do. It may not seem that important except when you consider that 5 wins on the bounce can erase a DNF or build a 1 race cushion while demoralizing opponents.

Rossi has won 5 in a row (within 1 season) 3 times in his career. In 2002, he won 7 in a row.

If you can deny your opponents wins for 2-3 months of competition, you can break them, imo.

So to sum up: if it turns out that Lorenzo beats Rossi for the rest of the season as well, then the "Mundialito" becomes something interesting. Otherwise it is a bopper thing. Speak of bias
<

But in my view, it has never been a bopper thing, it is just the leit motiv for the second part of the season, -- an otherwise exceedingly boring season, after Rossi' accident and Stoner's "cautious" approach to competition.

Another very simple consideration: if it was Rossi now showing the kind of domination that Lorenzo is displaying, what would you Rossi haters say? It is only too easy to imagine: you would be speaking of unfair advantages, preferential treatment by Bridgestone, Dorna conspiracies. Yaaawn...

Good point, IMO Jorge has already broken pedders (which isn't that hard), Stoner has gone fishing until next year and Rossi has been dealing with contracts and serious injury, circumstances will change though. Rossi claims that he and his team are baffled at their lack of pace yesterday, losing around a second a lap compared to others losing only 2 tenths on Saturdays sims- Same setup, same tyres.........engine nearly gone perhaps?

it was even worse when they showed the replays of the start from 4 different angles 8 laps into the race.....why would they do that so late into the race??

I'm not too sure and looking for help here, from memory Rossi broke the 1.58 mark on the R1 WSBK a few times during that test, race pace for Motogp yesterday was around 1.57.5-1.58 and Jorge and Dani were both into the 1.59s towards the end....

With this it's almost safe to assume that max or Johnny Rea could have finished mid-back on their superbikes yesterday.....Are we still seeing the best from the best??? More likely that tech regs have ........ the series more than the M1s electrics did it's ignition yesterday!!!

For some reason, lap times were much slower compared to last year.

The pole was slower, the race pace even slower...
<

It must be a tire thing. These 2010 Stones are different from last year's.

Almost all riders, with the only exception of Lorenzo, have been complaining about the current Bridgestones. The hard tires are unusable -- too hard. And the "soft" ones are hard enough to last the entire race, and then some.
<

It seems all had to shift the weight even more to the rear with these tires, and all complain about a lack of front end feel.

All but Lorenzo and his team. They are quite happy. They found something the others haven't, apparently. Kudos to Forcada!

(If Rossi was the only one without any problems, many would already be screaming about conspiracy -- but luckily it is Lorenzo

Certainly stoner in 2007 had most if not all his victories on the bridgestone hard tyres, and rossi when he went to bridgestone was also said to prefer the hard tyres.
