If it gets to the point where it seems like everyone’s against “you”, “you” may be the problem! I have been reading this forum for years and can’t remember a thread turning like this. Wait, there was one. Some guy posted a picture of a CF AGV helmet and then started being rude. Again, if it looks like everyone is against “you”, “you” may be the problem. Relax, learn to enjoy a very informative forum, and for F!@#s sake be careful on that bike.

I've met many of the guys you refer to and who are readily prepared to step out from behind internet anonymity - (often travelling across the globe to do so - and regularly do). I'm not averse to that either. If I fall into the category of 'one of your .......' then I'd be fascinated to meet you. I notice you have withheld your location. All being well I should be at Silverstone again this year - feel free to come and introduce yourself.
In the meantime - acquaint yourself with some of the meet up threads - I'm not aware of another bike racing forum that does this to the same, if any extent. You'll find that many of the guys that you are referring to as 'sad' undoubtably have far more fulfilling and accomplished lives than yourself and don't solely equate 'success' to mere material acquisition.

If you take the long view, and look at PS as a microcosm of Life itself, you may find this to be cause for concern. (Unfortunately, I don't thing you're bright enough to see the parallel.) At any rate, the Real World is a .... of a lot bigger and meaner than you, this dorky forum, or anyone on it. If you approach the R.W. with the same attitude you've shown here, that Big Mean World will chew you up into so many tiny pieces. Some people are slow learners, and they get to spend extra time in the School of Hard Knocks. Unless you wise up and, as one Zoot put it, "Chill the ....
