best sounding bike to date

Will, do you know your BMX history...why is Haro so important to BMX racing? Know Haro's first name? I bet Mdub knows.

My guess.... Mike Haro?

My early 80s PK Ripper with the Landing gear forks was ....... the raddest. Still got that ..... in the shed

L8. Mdub. What did the PK stand for?

As my sig states, Tracy Lords. For sure the best rider.....absoloutely in the screamer category as well

This is one reason the bore and cylinder limits suck so hard.

Imagine BMW coming out with a CRT version of their recently introduced inline 6 engine. Granted, it would need to lose a LOT of weight, but the marketing tie-in might make it worth their while, particularly if they introduce a sportier version of their 6 cyl touring monster. The more stupid restrictions Ezzy applies, the more homogenous and BORING the overall show becomes. As a fan, if I'm going to have the whole CRT crapfest shoved down my throat, I'd appreciate it if those hopped up street engines at least possessed some distinctiveness. I wanna hear Triumph's triple vs. Kawi's screamer 4s vs. Aprilia and Honda V4 vs. BMW's 6 pot monster. Add weight or displacement if you must, but at least make an attempt to put on a decent show. MotoGP must not follow the path of F1, who's spec V8 series has roughly zero variety or intrigue.

up until recently i would have whole heartedly agreed with you.

but then i realized that the internal combustion engine is more or less at a dead end

when keeping in mind there isn't much new ground breaking development ahead anyways in the near future i can settle for near identical engines for a couple of years so the focus can be on the riders. of course thats only if the riders had the same electronics ...welll off topic rambling

more sound files! who finds the nicest ducati gp/wsbk video for me to download and put on my mp3 player?

"was the dogs bullocks old boy". Hahaha, what the hell does that mean? Haha. I'll guess it means good. But Jesus, what a visual.

Nothing to do with motorcycles, but these vintage GP samples ought to blast any wax from your ears...

Hmm...I'll answer, haven't seen Mdub lately, hope he's not incarcirated somewhere?

JK if you still have the early model PK, might want to get it out and clean it up, it migh be worth a few bucks.

PK stood for Perry Kramer. Perry was co-founder and racer of SE bikes..

Bob Haro. If interested, there's tons of information out there about Haro.

Sorry everyone, back on topic.

I understand that. I'm just saddened by the fact they didn't market a spec support series for it, (like the Aprilia Cup), to create a sort of customer base for it. I'm sure people would have been dying to purchase this bike.

What would have been even better if they used these engines in Moto2....now that would be sweet

hills v8 in monte carlo is pure ...

great find geo, keep up the good work

I meant to post a link, but the forum added the media controls.

I have more tracks from that record; holler if you want me to zip them up and post them.
