Buatista has been offered something, he said so in the pre-race interview. But we don't know yet. Its amazing this has been a secret and not leaked out. Normally we get something. But I'm sure the options are very narrow. There are two seats available if Suzuki pulls out, Gresini and LCR. Its a forgone conclusion he will stay in GP.

It would seem to me that Iannone would be the preferable rider for San Carlo, so I'm guessing he's in pole position for the seat. Only way Bautista makes MORE sense is if Honda are calling the shots for the seat, which would make it a factory ride yet. Just my opinion.

I do agree Austin. For me, Crazy Joe would be a perfect fit for Gresini and GP. Ok we know the guy can be wildly inconsistent, but also wildly exciting. When he is on the pace, the guy can be unbeatable.

Don't get me wrong, I am not looking for an instant Marco replacement, but in San Carlo's eyes, Iannone sort of fits the bill. Young, very fast and charismatic....and Italian.

Pretty sure Bautista would make a factory RCV rock as well though.

If Honda are calling the shots why not just put Bautista in at LCR

Bautista is a seasoned GP rider, still in his prime, with proven results, who doesn't make many mistakes.

Iannone would be a rookie and should (if offered) be afforded the lesser bike.

Don`t want to see Suzuki pull out, they and Alvaro have done too much sterling work these last two seasons. Its a damn crying shame if they go.

Rossi to Suzuki.....only to get worse results than Bautista.

Thus showing us that Bautista is a better rider than he's been given credit for and that the Suzuki is worse than we thought!

That scenario sounds familiar.

Drill my man, not sure who u mean by "they" buddy. Suzuki hav barely spent on developing and little to no commitment for the future.

I won't speak for Drill, but I've been very impressed with the strides made by Suzuki this season. Now, how much of that is Suzuki back in Hamamatsu, I'm not certain. Considering their involvement in the series is in serious question going forward, my guess is very little. So the way I see it Suzuki, as in Crescent, have done an outstanding job this season and it would be a shame to see the fruits of their labors be for naught.

Bautista on a Honda would be nice.

Suzuki should hire Ben Bostrom . That way they would have a rider that shows the same amount of commitment towards racing as they do.

Doesnt make mistakes? How many DNFs this year?

Perhaps I should qualify that by saying "rookie mistakes."

I would speculate that some of his DNFs are a result of having

to over-ride the bike in order to be competitive.

Announcement after Valencia round to come.

Not going to happen!

Bautista is testing the zook on tuesday!

From a very reliable source in the garage.

Also a 1000cc machine has been tested by their test rider in Japan.

Not sure if they are going to start on the 800 and move onto the 1000 or just start with the 1000 yet but I am working on it.

Also not sure how many bikes they are going to be running but P Denning is pushing for two so Hopper has a ride.

Is GPone so unreliable no one uses it as a source?

"The news started to circulate yesterday in the Valencia paddock: Andrea Iannone will test the Team Gresini Honda on Tuesday.

The Italian rider had already announced his intention to stay with Team Speed Master in Moto2 next season, but this latest development now raises new questions about where he will be riding next year.

As a matter of fact, there are still several questions marks remaining about the rider market, even if some situations have been cleared up.

The most recent confirmation come from Suzuki, with word that Alvaro Bautista will stay with the team next year, partnered by John Hopkins for a limited schedule of 5 races.

It also looks likely (although there is still no official confirmation) that Randy De Puniet will return to the LCR Honda of Lucio Cecchinello, after a difficult season on the Pramac Ducati."

Jules said today the information about Hopkins signing on for five races is inaccurate.
