Like a ............ mate. You lift off in a bend you end up in the ditch mate
<

Thats understeer Rog.

(Not wanting to sound like another fucken knower....) I've done a few track days in and against Evo's, and they are the same, you have to drive em hard through the corners, or they want to go straight and understeer straight off the road.

Spot on Chops

This is a legendary call out Arrab, and I commend you for putting your balls on the line with a first class offer. Jum chipping in with an offer just to show up (although I think you're on a pretty safe bet there Jum)

I don't think anyone is doubting yur full of .... Baz, but if you've got any balls you should still take the offer, and front up for the trip of a lifetime.

Baz, I travel from Australia to Europe a lot for work, and I can tell you going there for 2 days is just plain stupid. I have done it plenty of times (did it three times in a month once) and it will mess you up. Go for a week, see a bit of the world, and show some gratitude to the guy willing to front up and offer you the trip.

And, get your ... on a flight to Wales to race 22 in a kart. He will smoke your ..., but at least do him the dignity of fronting up.

What an .....
<

Your problem ....... you pay

After all the dumb ... things you post on here, you're calling me an ............ !!!!

.... you.... and the goat you rode in on.

You are being offered a free trip to the UK, to do a track day with the Haslams, and race 22 in a cart, by someone that has never met you, and is willing to pay for your flights, put you up in his home, take you to a race school, look after you, and all you can do is winge and ..... about being too busy, and loss of wages, and it'll take a week...... and I'm not willing to spend any of my own money, and don't expect me to socialise, and staying in your house isn't my idea of a holiday....... or and the absolute cracker, the Haslams couldn't teach me anything.

I cannot believe this, you ungratious piece of ...........

I can tell you flights to the UK (which don't take 2 days ........), and the race school is probably well of $ 2,500 alone.

Arrab, 22, I suggest take the offer off the table. This clown is full of ...., and will never front up for fear of making a .... of himself. I've developed a pretty good impression of this ......, and I don't think he's someone you'd want to spend much time with anyway.

I want everyone on here to know, as a proud Aussie, this fucken tool is not representative of what most Aussies are like.

I've got a better idea. Anyone who's interested, save yur bucks for the next 6 months, and lets set a date in spring in the UK, schedule a meetup, to include two days at the Haslam race school and maybe a WSB/MotoGP/BSB race. If Barrybullshitter wants to come, he is welcome, but he's paying his own way !!!

Pretty sure Rog is talking about oversteer at and immediately after turn-in. You'll be trailing the brakes all the way to the apex and, if left foot braking, possibly balancing the brake bias and car rotation with a dash of throttle. Chopping the gas abruptly will spin the car's ... around right quick!

FWD cars are notorious for this, due - I believe - to the forward weight balance and completely free rear wheels that allow the car to yaw freely.

It's when you are past the apex and back on the gas that a partially locking diff will make you plow straight ahead at partial throttle. You need to get on the gas enough to get the inside wheel slipping slightly, at which point the car is free to turn.

Rog, what sort of differential(s) does your beast have? Are they limited slip, perhaps some sort of Salsbury type ramp+clutch setup that provides variable locking under both power and engine braking? Or have they moved on to a more modern electronically controlled limited-slip gizmo?

Back to Barry please. Well, i guess he wont be finding the time from his busy schedule. And now it looks like he wants "wages" on top of all the free .... and loot piled into this offer. I guess its really difficult to leave the precious little time he has on his sofa, eh. Well, between Nasa consultations, Papal commissions to translate Latin Bibles & Papal doctrines into Lhasa & Kham (there is a real evangelistic effort to convert Tibetans to Catholicism if u must know), and apart from conducting the Berliner Philharmonic orchestra ( for which he personally has provided hand made instruments) and les we forget the technical work Barry did for the TTXGP zero-emissions project he is undergoing in his basement, this after becoming bored after the completion of the Hadron Collider particle accelerator he helped build as the lead architect.

Back to Barry please.

Why bother? He's clearly not going to show. Something about sheep not being allowed on the airplane, I suspect.

( And please don't get me started on those ............. catholics!

I would, but then he would say we took the offer off the table just as he booked his tickets. By leaving the offer open he will always have that cloud over his head that he's a ....., which Curve smelt long ago

Sounds good to me. I'm not a bike rider as you know (I can ride but don't have a licence or much experience) but i've always fancied doing a Haslam track day (Albeit on a 125 or 500 - Take note Barry, I am gracious enough to admit i'm not a pro biker) so count me in! Its unlikely i'll be racing superkarts next year so will have more time and money.

Oh don't forget he's finding the Holy Grail too

Barry, to coin a term you use so often here: "You really are a ...... aren't you!!" I find it hilariously convenient that you are usually on here every morning (GMT time) trying to rile people up and now you have been exposed you are hardly on here at all and are 'busy', probably crying like a little girl that "The forum people are picking on me mummy!" You had the chance to show off your supposed mad skills and you blew it, you will forever now be known as a ..... piece of .... and I expect your days here are numbered as after this debacle you will be on most members ignore list, and once that happens no doubt you will get bored quickly and leave.

How does it feel to be a completely humiliated no life wanking arsehole?

I believe there is a new internet law coming into force in the uk soon. If you use uk sites like this your personal details will become public (ip ect) and be easily traced.

Hear that Barry?

So all the trolls, bullshitters and braggers would have to stand up and be counted. Ha!

That's the "safest" way bro
<
I came out the chicane in the rain at Castle coomb and had to lift . I felt the rear starting to go to my right so i just jumped back on the gas. Problem sorted

My local... when I lived in North Wilts. Great track, highly underrated.

He's right - I've been there.

They've got blokes.

Have you driven it Zoot? (Don;t get all defensive, thats a question not an attack)

The reason I ask is I think its quality is dependent on what you're driving around there. In a superkart its mostly flat and boring as ..... tbh. The chicanes require a slight lift so apart from quarry its like a big oval. Therefore I don't rate it compared with somewhere like Cadwell

No nuts mate, i know the difference. Lift off over steer is when you lift of the gas and the rear trys to overtake the front. Understeer is how you describe above. Im told evo's are even worse for lift off oversteer. My scoob doesn't understeer because of the way its set up. It can be set to really oversteer if thats your thing. Everything is fully adjustable on mine including the rear ARB. I can also alter the 4 wheel drive split to about 70% rear with a switch in the car if you really want sideways action.

Yes mine is limited slip diff but i also have DCCD (driver controlled centre diff). I can alter the torque split upto 70/30 rear bias. I can also lock the diff or have an open diff. When i was at castle coombe experiencing the oversteer i was set at 50/50 semi slip which should be the more stable setting
<
as i said it was raining and i was giving it the beans
<
Im going to have the geo setting changed next month as i find the Prodrive fast road quite harsh and prone to lift off oversteer.

While the initiation is the same the application from my experience from sport bike and supermoto is very different. With supermoto being a light bike with plenty of steering lock and rider sat way up front you can really hang it out and turn in midway through the corner. Its a lot harder and scarier on a sport bike imho. These have next to no lock and the rider is sat a lot further back from the headstock.Sport bikes tend to gain the max lean angle after correcting the reverse steer unlike in supermoto.

What made it scary for me was the body position. Having grown up riding and eventually racing dirt bikes you get accustomed to a certian upright position with your feet more forward, on a sport bike, it took me some time to find the confidence to even get to bike over just because of where you weight the bike.

WTF, how are all u ......s posting pics? I get an error message.
