NO RAIN!!!!

The announcers are keeping the spirits high - but I checked multiple forecast sites
and and they say rain. And hey if it doesn't rain . . . it'll all be that much better.
Forecast for NYC was rain rain rain and yesterday wasn't bad and today it's blastin'
sunlight - so they do get it wrong from time-to-time. I just don't like to get my
hopes up just to have them dashed.

I don't think it matters too much whether it's wet OR dry, as long as it's not both!

It totally ruins the race when they have to do a pit stop.

AGREED...theres just too much luck and strategy involved instead of just flat out racing

No man its good for the championship just think how far ahead Rossi would be now if not for those two races

I just think it's dangerous, riders stay out longer than they should to try and gain an advantage, coming off because their tyres are too cold, if you want to see pit stops go watch F1!

Motor sport is dangerous enough as it is, without these silly rules.

Remind me again why they don't have intermediates any more!

Its not a pit stop all they do is change bike. They dont change tyres or fuel up.

Would you prefer the old way of stopping the race and running an X number of sprint laps?

yeh....the pit stop thing for motogp was a good idea. I just dont think its right for the championship. I agree about it being dangerous as well. Rossi at Le Mans is the perfect example of taking a risk and crashing as a result of his early pit stop.

Yes and thats what made Lorenzo's win so brilliant because he timed it perfectly. Beside as in Rossis Le Mans seranio 9 out of 10 of those crashs will be slow as they will be just crawling around looking for grip. Are you saying that a fast crash in perfect conditions is less dangerous than a slow low side in the wet at a crawling pace

Just because Rossi has never got it right dose not mean its a bad idea

Sorry, my mistake for using the wrong terminology, I still don't think it's safe, they never used to do it, so why are they doing it now.

I didn't like the short sprints either, but I prefer them to the alternative.

That's not why I don't like it, and any way he didn't do so bad last time he did it, I seem to remember!

It is safe as I said as far as crashs go the first few laps on the 2nd bike are crucial and the riders will not be going full pelt hence in the world of crashs slow crash = safer crash. It demands greater skill from the riders to keep it rubber side down and I'm all for seeing ever ounce of mind blowing skill these guys have

I think it had something to do with with air time

I think it totally ruins it if is rains solid. Mixed is exciting but I prefer completely dry. Rain...waste of time racing on a MotoGP bike IMO.

The first flag to flag race was cool, what made it better was Marco's podium. But after that it wasnt that cool any more. I think 2 is enough for the season Id rather watch a straight up race from now on
