Moto 2 warm up

Playing with the color settings. Color of the earth here looks similar to Grand Canyon

Elias takin the corner where Lorenzo got passed. Elia's lean is incredible, it looks like he is literally laying the bike over.

GP warmup. Lorenzo coming up to the corner he got passed at.

This is just behind my stand. In between Moto2 and GP race everyone looks for shade, cerveza and a bocadillo.

The Spanish "Aguilas Rojas" performed during the intermission. Kind of cool, but more like sparrows compared to the Blue Angels!

This is the only half descent shot I got from the GP race. Everytime something interesting was going on people were on their feet, waving and clapping, completely in the way. So inconsiderate!

And this is the trusty steed on the way out of the place.

Great pictures mate. I love the mountains in the foreground and that big stone wall.

What the place like to visit during race weekend. are there plenty of hotels ect local to the track. You said the town is small but whats it like ??

good stuff m8 the pic with the wall is gr8t

camera location for TV is great for seeing it too

The wall is pretty cool. Definitely gives the place it's own signature. Just on the other side of that fence the bikes are at the highest point of the track. You hear the bikes up there roarin on the way to the "saca corchos" before the big left bend that leads into the section I was at. With the Moto 2 you have noise comming at you from all directions!

Alcaniz is a small town that was kind of forgotten. They used to host an urban race there back in the day. Maybe like a rally type time trial. Before my time and haven't really researched it. Motorland is putting it back on the map. There is always a party in a spanish town. I wasn't there at night buy been told the atmosphere was amazing. Typical narrow streets flooded with people drunk on cerveza and vino till the wee hours. Lots of people finding the rev limiter on their bikes and doing burnouts, but no idiots riding around pulling stunts. And for those not aware of the night time schedule of Spain, we have dinner at around 10 PM and head out to town. Getting home Saturday or Sunday at 8AM is the norm for many people. I don't think there are too many hotels in the area. Not yet anyway, but the camping I've been told was very good. Cheap prices, good facilities, and right on the lake. My brother in law stayed at a camp site. Said there was one of his neighbors that rode his bike to Alcaniz, did burn outs until the tire was about dead, rode back to camp and changed the rear tire, went back to Alcaniz and lit up the second one. All this between 2-3 AM. There are small towns all around the area, and each town will have a couple hotels of some sort. If Motorland is on the schedule next year and anyone is planing on coming down let me know and I'll lend a hand!

Beautiful dude. Simply splendid. I hope they make it a regular track on the GP schedule.

It's gotta be a regular. That sounds like a great place. I think Krop mentioned that it was hell finding and affording a hotel since they really don't have the infrastructure to support these events.

You've taken some great shots there, you obviously have a good camera too, the pics are really clear, I love the scenary, moutains and that wall is incredable.

It´s a Canon G11. It takes the good pictures, but I take the camara to the spot and push the button at the right time!!

Keep your ears on for next year. As you know, it is a "substitution" track for the next 4 years. We are all here in Zaragoza selfishly hoping Hungary doesn´t make the grade!
