And exactly how did Rob & Talpa do this??? They did exactly what ur saying should NOT be the point of posting. Talps came on and in his blind haste to LABEL this thread just anothet "rider preference thead; and erroneously chasticed for something i pointed out was not happening (that is he mistook this as a Rossi vs X thread, which i pointed out was not the case) then Rob came in to lend his support to the trolling ...... Meanwhile everybody has contributed to 'ur topic' EXCEPT Talps & Rob (not sure how this can be glossed over, all u hav to do is survey the thread). Cliche realized what u meant and clarified, and we were about to carry on with meaningful opinions, that is until Talps & Robbie insisted on making a tangent. Now we hav another ...... up thread thanx to Talps & Rob (which if u noticed lately has been their theme).
I was agreeing with the general point that more attention should be paid to the logic and internal consistency of a post, rather than its author's 'fan status'. I really leave the arguments about peripheral issues to the thread to those who seem to engage in them. Those arguments don't interest me too much.
Now look wher we at with this perfectly good thread. Its ....... And ur observation has other ramifications that ive thought about since but frankly got caught up in ... for tat. Anyway, back on topic (if thats now possible). I knew Lorenzo had a good start to his first year but i had nit paid attention to the pattern it seems to hav made, that being that hes been a good starter to the season. This season it looks like he put it all together seeing that the previous two had been interrupted by crashes. This year he didnt crash all season in a race. Remember when Stoner was laughed at when he crashed on the warm up lap? Well perhaps we all forgot Lorenzo did the same thing, crashed on the sighting lap (cant remember off top of head where, PI?). Anyway, we normally oversimplify such mistakes as bonehead errors, but it looks like Lorenzo was able to stay clear of bonehead moves (except that pass attemp on Simoncelli at Valencia). Lets not forget, even Lorenzo joined a long list of ..... rookies that used Nicky Hayden as a target last year. But as u correctly point out, Lorenzos has good fast starts. But this year however, that brilliant start pattern continued all year. I think its already been mention, but sbkplanet had a good article on Spies' take on Lorenzo. He basically said, he did what he needed to do all year. That means he stepped it up when he had to and dialed it back when he needed to. Then went into lights out at the end.
Yes, Lorenzo was flawless this season. His performance was very impressive and level headed, but I do believe he made a crucial mistake at Motegi in deciding to engage with Rossi.
