I don't think hes point was to discredit anyone but to reply to all the posters who have said that Rossi would not have won anyways and its a good observation. I guess we should now take a look at most of the posts here on this site and they should be labeled the same cause probably 90% of us do the "what it's". Seriously guys...

I agree, its all relative. Rossi may not be as good at Valencia as he is elsewhere but he has it pretty well sorted. Most of us would agree that Nicky is one of the best round Valencia but he's won no race there.

Read the post again chaperoo's - there are no yellow goggles here, nor red ones for that matter. Mutal respect & admiration for these guys that can do things on a bike i could only dream of yes, but no trolling!!

The post was more against Rossi & the peolpe who think he is god rather for them. He's good but not god.

I just think people need to relax & breathe, its one bloody test that only lasted 2 days, lets just wait & see at least till Feb before we start the inherant slating of these guys. Give em a break. Plus there are other very good riders who can easily cause some eyeborws to head north over the course of the season other than Stoner & Rossi.

You cant count Lorenzo out

You took the time to quote me and highlight, but you skipped over the part that you are responding to, did you notice the part in my statement that said: "to what otherwise is"? What does this qualifier mean Talps? Answer this, before you go on, as once you realize it, you should feel more stupid (as if that is even possible). I overall enjoy your posts and passion for the sport and don't want you leave. I might obsereve that there is an element of the pot calling the kettle black in view of your early posts on the forum which were mostly diatribes against casey stoner, so perhaps you now have a better understanding of how that annoyed his fans/the non-rossifan axis, but I actually agree with you that the forum has now shifted dramatically the other way, and hence the kettle currently is blacker than the pot.

I do think that lorenzo deserves acclaim without detraction for his well-won championship now, at least until someone else takes it from him, but rossi admirers are correct that there was a body of thought which proved to be well and truly erroneous that his best days were behind him after 2006 and 2007, and similar views now may be similarly incorrect.

Please read my post more carefully.

Lorenzo is clearly worthy of being champion, since he finished with the most points. He was the most consistent, and was consistently the fastest. He is no flash in the pan, he has been steadily developing from his MotoGP debut in 2008.

I was just stating that the fact that Lorenzo was leading Rossi after three round, of itself does not mean that he would have beaten Rossi over the whole season if Rossi had not been injured. Whether or not he would have, no-one knows! The fact is, Rossi let his tyres cool off trying to shake off Barbera, didn't use his head, went too hard on cold tyres and hurt himself.
