Round 3 of the AMA is this weekend. Road Atlanta usually provides for some good racing.

Current points standing in Superbike:
Zemke 105
T. Hayden 95
Pegram 70
Hayes 67
Young 67

DSB standings:
Herrin 79
Eslick 71
Westby 64
Rapp 56
West 45

As a side note, does anyone know if they show the AMA races in HD? I finally got Dish Network to fix my channel lineup before last weekend so I have SpeedHD now, the MotoGP race was absolutely amazing in HD. Curious what they do for AMA?

gonna be in mt future home tennessee this weekend thru next week so gonna have to watch when i get back... thank the gods for dvrs!

Where in Tennessee are you moving to?

Frost, you moving to the South? Good luck.

L8, yeah, I was referring to Carolina Blonde beer, I heard it was the State drink. So I was curious. I always like to try new beers.

Lenny will be competing in DSB, so root for him (no, I'm not going).

My picks:

Superbike
Hayden
Zemke
Hayes

DSB
Slick
Herrin
Rapp

The SpeedHD didn't look like true HD for MotoGP. It was better, but not full HD.

I hate Greg White!

I hope the racing stays good. Hayes made it sound like the Yamaha was going to be an unstoppable force once they got away from the half-ovals. He did post the fastest time at the Infineon test.

Nothing against Hayes, it's just that the last 7 races of last season weren't terribly entertaining.

Most of your HD is just 720p, every once in a while, HD Theater will have something in 1080p. What we saw on Speed was probably 480p or 720i. Still was a huge jump from the .... we normally get. Im not complaining

I would seriously doubt it, knowing DMG

I just watched the replay from Speed and it had to be 720p. That was the best damn picture I have ever seen a bike race in. They are still way behind other motorsports but like you said, it was a step in the right direction.

Will the AMA be broadcasted in HD.

Saw that. He has a really low trap speed which makes the time even more impressive. Almost 10mph slower than the front running Suzukis.

It looks like he's dropped 3 seconds off his time already. I recognize all the names in front of him and none of the names behind him. Thats impressive for never seeing the track before.

I notice last weeks SS winner Pasquerelli is setting pole again. I don't recall ever hearing of him before this year. Anyone know where this kid came from?
