A possibility in the future

It could be quite possible the 2 Marquez brothers could be on the factory Hondas while the Espargaros boys saddle up on the factory Yamahas in the future, it could make life interesting, its a big call but you never know, thoughts anyone?

Honda seems to be stacking talent. Already have M Marquez, then there is Miller, A. Marquez, and Quartararo.

Personally I dont see enough of Alex yet to see him on a factory bike so soon.

And we have enough already with this guy making everyone look silly.

Just like F1 is becoming 'Formula Son', MotoGP is becoming 'Moto Sibling'.

Those Marquez and Espagaro daddies must have called in some hell of a favour to pay for both their kids to start racing....

I used to follow F1 closely, now just follow enough to carry on a conversation. Who besides Rosberg is the son of a former F1 driver.

From all indications, both families were middle class. I think its the system they have in place. It doesnt take a millionaire daddy to get you in, and once you are in and show promise, the system takes over. In the big scheme of things, it doesnt take a huge amount of money to race in these series, and companies like Repsol can pay a few bills here and there to move you along. To them its cheap insurance for future talent. If the kid develops, he is going to feel somewhat obligated to ride for who ever helped him get there.

Wayne Gardner would argue that point

Not sure that is enough to call it Formula Son. If you want to see nepotism in racing, look no further than Nascar. The Petty's, Jarret's Allison's, Earnhardt's, Wallace's, Childress and his grand sons, Elliot's son Burtons son, and on and on.

Fabio Quartararo is a beast. The next big thing after Vinales and Miller

Thats why Honda is trying to get an exemption on his age to start Moto3 next year. As it stands, he could still race next year, but would have to miss the first 2-3 races until he is eligible, pretty much screwing him out of racing for the championship. They think he is the next big thing.

Maria Herrera and Fabio will racing for Galicia next year as marquez and rins looking for a team at moto2, probably at vds with Rabat . Miller has signed for vds but its not legal if goes to another team , straight to Motogp and Lcr as rumors say.

I'm involved a bit with karting and let me tell you it will soon be like Nascar. You have Brundle Juniors, Mansell Juniors, Hill Juniors, Sainz Juniors and more. A good number of them have only got where they have so far on their name and arent as good as other drivers who have the misfortune of the wrong surname.

The big difference is that Nascar has twice as many entrants and even lousy drivers can hang around forever as grid fillers just on their name. At least in F1, with the limited seats and money involved, your talent, or lack of will be exposed quickly. I love all racing, but it is a sport where there are many places for rich kids to hang out on just their name and daddies money. Thats something you cant do in stick and ball and other sport which involve athleticism.

Though many lesser-talented second and even third generation stick and ballers have tried and been carried far beyond their capabilities by their names, Pov.
