I think yamaha for two reasons. One I think honda is farther off the mark the yamaha. Two is that bike has been bad and getting worse for a long time. I don't think they even know what direction to go at honda. Yamaha has also turned their program around quickly once in the past.
Honda is definitely off the mark more than Yamaha. For the main reason the Yamaha is just slow, the Honda is slow AND trying to fire riders into the scenery. This has been Honda's issue since at least 2019 when Lorenzo commented that the limit was very unpredictable which makes it scary because you don't know when you are going to crash.
Would using the races as testing be out done by unlimited testing? Perhaps?
I'd say no, running at race weekends is limited and you cannot change much.
I'm still confident he'll be smart and switch to Gresini. Otherwise it'd make zero sense they rejected Arbolino and Dixon.
This is the key point for me. Gresini seem in no rush to announce a second rider, and have rejected 3. For all we know they have rejected others too.
Loyalty in sports is a one way street. People praise athletes for sticking it out with one team but the flip side is a team will can an athlete the moment they underachieve. All but the Marquez haters want to see him leave Honda. I wish he would but for some reason he wants to stay.
Perfectly put. Pedrosa was dumped by Honda for much less and teams are quick to dump non-performing riders
He's less than pleased with the 2024 prototype. I hope he leaves.
Me too, apparenrly there is doubts that the 2024 engine will even be ready by Valencia. Marc has already said Valencia is too late and following his 'actions, not words' comments, I can;t see how any amount of dyno results or bits of paper will convince him the 2024 engine will be a big step forward. How could he know without trying it? I read somewhere that somone in Honda said the engine is 60%+ of the issues with regards to getting the power down, but even if the 2024 engine is a huge stride, it wont make the bike a race winner overnight.
That incredible battle Marc and Pecco had at Aragon leaves me a bit sad because I think we're missing out on what could have been an awesome rivalry. Throw Fabs in there as well but Honda and Yamaha are screwing us.
Exactly, we have wasters on competitive bikes. Imagine Marc, Pecco and Fabio going at it.
Well, next year might be interesting. Who knows. Rins at Yamaha. Zarco back to Honda. Franky at Ducati and lets see if Enea can perform with the Ducati official team. Raul, Fabio Di, Taka and Augusto should all be sacked for 2024.
At least one of them is, but I disagree about Augusto. If anyone from GasGas should go, it's Pol. Here are the riders for me that need to get kicked out:
KTM: Miller
GasGas - Espargaro
Gresini - Diggia
RNF - Raul
Aprilia - BOTH. ....... team smack talking about not needing Fabio or Marc after a 1-2 at Barcelona. Then they finish 5th and what, 10th at this race? Yeah Massimo...
Morbidelli
I'd say give the beast and rins another chance.
If I were him, at his age, I'd take the Honda money and stick around next year.
Problem is, it could end up killing or disabling him. $25 million aint worth it for someone with his wealth.
