2015 Red Bull Indianapolis GP

Yet it didn't stop them from going to Laguna for almost a decade, and with the 500cc's from 88 to 94.

Pit boxes lol.

Real men work on bikes wherever there is space. ....... girls now.

Agreed, I remember going to a CART race at Road America in 2004. They all worked fine in big pull out awnings from the side of the trucks, then similar awning in the other area for hospitality.

It's like Monaco has been completely redesigned to get 'proper' pit garages for a ....... temporary street track thats unused 51 weeks of the year. Why? For all the posers.

You know, I have to say on a tangent that I ....... despise the BRDC.

I hope Derek Warwick dies in a fire along with the rest of his buddies.

Primarily because Silverstone's financial woes are all of their own doing since they felt it was pertinent to negotiate at losing rates with a known extortionist/used car salesman, all because of some belief the world would sink into a black hole if the British round of the F1 World Championship ceased to exist.

I've said for a long time that all the classic European tracks should form a cartel and say to Bernie ".... you, if you want to race anywhere decent in Europe, YOU are going to have to pay US"

You watch that little ...... give in

i mean - being a motorhead, it's def on my top list of things i need to experience & see...so i'm excited to pick up the vibe & atmosphere of indy.

But you will still be going, right?

So seems the scam works....even on you....
Are you familiar with this thing called taxes? I don't pay taxes in Indiana. Regardless of my visit, the good people of Indiana are still going to lose money because THEY got SCAMMED. The public funds are coming out of their pocket. My visit is helping mitigate the magnitude of the losses they will STILL sustain. Its how sweet deals are sold to the public, but the only ones who gain are the ........ conspiring against the taxes payers.

I planned the trip SOLEY on the prospect of seeing dear friend(s). The GP is an afterthought in this case because I was able to justify my visit to the area given one of my friends lives driving distance to Indy. Going to Indy was actually not my idea, maybe you're right, I did get suckered into going there now that I think of it. I have little to no interest in going to a GP in Indy because again, its not an inspiring venue, if it was I probably wouldn't have missed a race their since its inauguration!

I would think the main reason Indy draws the crowd is because it is in the center of the country. I know I could never afford to go to Laguna, but I can drive go Indy (6 hours)

On the flipside, I would imagine there are more fans of "foreign" race series living on the coasts than there are in the Midwest.

Absolutely, its the point I made, its basically near a bunch of people which accounts for the attendance. But again, as I said, Dorna gives .... all about how many people show up. The place looks pathetically empty regardless. Not sure why the point was made about attendance to begin with, but its definately the ugliest and most uninspiring venue of the entire GP calendar. Can anybody here name a worse track on the calendar? I'd also be willing to bet if the riders could rate the tracks, Indy would come in last. Indy has some things going for it by default, as its also in the summer, when people normally have kids out of school and take vacations. Its basically a forced choice as there are no other choices.

The people are nice though and again, the party downtown is good. Other than that, its a ...... place for a motorcycle race.

I always regarded Road Atlanta as one of the best bike circuits in the States. COTA put paid to Barber, which was a shame, but .......I miss Laguna. Beautiful part of the planet.

I'd like to see a race and Barber, which has that excellent museum to boot. But again, not everybody is going to pay the extortion fees-- the only reason Indy is on the GP calendar.

No doubt. Its why I've gone twice. If you are a GP fan, you go regardless of the .... choice they've given us. Its not all bad though, Nicky will be there and that's reason enough to go, as it may be his last in GP.

I thought I saw a sign last year about a track radio station but I can't remember now. I emailed IMS about it last week but haven't heard back.

I've only been to 3 races and in order or awesomeness of track and facility it would go

Catalunya
IMS
Aragon.

But Aragon is a better track, just a terrible location and no facilities at all.

Haha. Good question, as you know from our group text, we went from a full course band to a duet. So I dont know what to call ourselves, perhaps the Survivors. How does, Friday high noon, infield, at the Nicky Hayden store.
