.... I don't feel I have the standing to post on this thread anymore. I'm gonna get torrents for the Pala then I'll comment.

Des Nations might be on Versus. They had it one year.

No chance in Oz anything televised - unless someone finds out where to get a live feed or something, I'll rely on my close sources for results and post when I can.

Sorry for taking so long to post in here but, have to say how bloody chuffed I am for Dean Wilson!

It would be interesting to see how the top Euro guys like Cairoli would perform if they raced here in the U.S. series.

Hit and miss isn't it ? - history proves not good but for the exceptions like Bayle etc. Most Euros don't care to be in the US and visa versa I suppose....

Well it never going to be any other country win so congrats to US, I'm very happy for Reed gaining a podium and Oz beating Belguim/GB in the standings for they normally are very strong so great result Aussies !

Yes...the Aussie's actually stand on the Des Nations podium for the first time...so good on them!

Cheers L8B - you know my brother is in the background here in Oz with the governing body - so I'm privvy to get some inside info that normally I wouldn't publicise but his background/passion is motorcross and he advised he got a very nice message from Chad thanking him very much for the support (for I know he pushed for some additional funds etc) and how much it meant to him representing our country.....and as you mention above gaining our 1st podium IS a sensational effort !

Naturally people don't know the real Reed (that also goes to for our other fair rider Casey), misunderstood, misquoted after race interviews etc they both are good guys really.

I wish i could have seen it. sounds like there was some hard dirty racing. Reed had a nice outdoor season. I still dont believe that crazy crash affected his psyche though. These guys have crashed their whole lives. I really doubt that when the flag drops they are thinking about a crash 2 weeks ago. He faded in the end and Villopoto turned it on.

I hope Dungey can turn around the orange bikes but i have my doubts. as far as I know KTM has never won an SX or MX title.

Once again SX looks to be great. Bubba should be back, Christnard has a full season under his belt, Barcia looked strong on the 450 in MX lets see if that translates to SX. Hopefully Reed will be back as well.

What a dream year for Villopoto. Cant wait till January

It's funny, Ryan Dungey did the exact same thing last year SX/Outdoor/DesNations sweep but he got no respect because Stewart and Villopoto were not there. This year RD's Zuki let him down, had that not been the case would he have repeated? Next years championship is shaping up nicely, because I think Dungey will be more agressive and ready to battle. If RD winds up on the Katoom it'll be interesting to see what a top level rider can do with it...as I said before the Katoom's seem to do well in Europe.

The mechanical he had in SX and the one he had in MX were killers although I still believe that the way Villopoto finished both series was strong enough to win the title regardless.

I hope Dungey is competitive because the series is much better when he's in it

I saw the Des Nations 2011 this week. Holy crap that was exciting stuff!!!

First time watching Des Nations, I'm hooked. It sounded all corny when the commentators were saying "The last race matters.", sure enough the U.S. was behind at the beginning of the last race and they got the result they needed to win it again. I'm very intrigued by the mixing of different classes in some of the races, it was surprising (to me) that the smaller bikes were very competitive (with the right riders) against the higher cc bikes. I was wondering why Villo and Dungey didn't mop up the first 2 races, but the 3rd one when all the riders were riding on the same playing field showed that both of them were the classes of the field.

Villopoto and Dungey = Nails!!!!

Dungey and KTM....back with DeCoster.....lets see if Dungey can make a liar out of JohnnyKnockDown...history is on JK's side...so we will see.

I'm totally gay for Villopoto and I hope he continues to win but I couldnt be happier if Dungey has great success. Its a great time to be a fan of SX. Between him RV JS CR and maybe even Christnard we have different guys that can win any week.

2-stroke? Hmm...I don't know about that? If anyone can pull it off it would be Stewart.

Do you remember a few years back (probabaly 2nd yr of the diesels) when one of the older guys( maybe larocco) rode a 125 smoker against the 250 diesels for one outdoors race to see how it compared? He was getting crushed especially on the big hills.

Thats a great video. Having only one bike on the track you can really hear the shift patterns and how hard he is riding. A 250 is an insane bike to ride and watching him push the limit the way he does is breathtaking. He has so much control and that bike is in the power the whole time
