2 races on MotoGP ?

Watching WSBK now. The 2nd race is on.
I am just wondering, why Dorna doesn't make 2 races on MotoGP ?...It's gonna more exciting...or boring ?

give it up. rossi will just crash twice in the one day. i dont think you guys could handle that

too expensive...

and most likely, twice as much time spent being unimpressed by the "close"racing.

No no no buddy...you don't get it. Rossi just asked me to find a new volunteer to clean the spilled oil on the track. And I think you're the right person on the right ass.

why copy another race series (wsb) motogp shows these very highly tuned bikes can maintain reliability ect over long distances ,most of the time anyway.

i can't see myself enjoying an immediate race after the first one...the excitement also comes from looking forward to the next weekend for the next race
 
Do you really wanna see these awful races twice?

I think they should run the same circuit for the first round and the last round that is as close to a double as I'm willing to get.
 
I'm a huge fan of the two race format in WSB, but WSB is far more unpredictable. Results of two races in MotoGP would differ slightly whereas WSB results from race one to race two are rarely the same.
 
I think it might be more varied then you think if GP did two races.....riders and teams are often saying "well we decided on the wrong tire, or I got a bad start"....."what if, what if"....the races would be cool because they could instantly adjust and be more competitve in race 2.....imagine Assen if Rossi had a second chance......the real issue is expense...when a GP bike crashes.....big money......or when a GP rider gets injured....big money contracts....lots more at stake....
 
a mate of mine reckons they should have 2 races and the starting grid on race 2 should be in reverse, ie. who ever wins race 1 starts at the back. i think it would make a great spectical watching them fight through the pack but pretty bloody dangerous.

I agree with you on the big money,it would be more expencive,but it shure would be fun.With a second chance.
At the same time they could make the races shorter,maybe 25-30minutes.And make the difference in points smaller. Maybe 15 for win 12 for second 10 for third then 8 for fourth and decending.Then it would be much closer and more riders fighting for the championship.

how about we tie roger federers hands when he plays tennis? how about we make phelps swim an extra lap. how about we make tiger woods use bolwing balls? all as valid as your "mates" suggestion

Agree that the idea is a bit far fetched, I think even Rog would admit that. Even though it would be fun to watch.

But Pinky, why don't you go .... off?
