Álvaro Bautista (SPA) has become the first rider since Arnoud Vincent (FRA) in 2002 to win 2 races in a row in the 125cc category. He now leads the championship by 17 points over Kallio (FIN).

And this victory was followed by Lorenzo's (SPA) in 250cc who also has a 100% win record in this 2006 season.

This is as good as it gets.

Congrats to Ball-....-ta or whoever he is. Proving both that the class is unpredictable, and that I don't know .... about it! Till Teo said he'd win Jerez, I'd never even heard of him.
And Lorenzo! I won't be stupid enough to predict who'll be the 2006 250cc champ, because its early days and Pedrosa's not there. But I got a fair idea who the 2007 MotoGP rookie of the year will be

Lets not forget about Dovi, with his late charge in the 250 race I really though he was going to take it.. but well done to the 2 Spaniards.

I was quite impressed by Locatelli and Dovi, in FPs it looked like a Lorenzo vs Barberá duel. But those 2 guys are world champs so maybe it's not such a surprise.

Locatelli was on one of the cheapest bikes in the field, yet he rode a race worthy of a champion. I have never seen anything like it. Credit to Dovi as well for managing to keep with Lorenzo, I was really hoping he'd take the win, he deserves it. He gets close often, but doesn't manage to win.

Ride of the day in 250's for me was Locatelli 21st on the 3rd lap then finished 3rd on the podium ( on a standard kit 250) WOW

i didn't have a change to see the races this time, which makes it bit difficult to write about them more. well, i can say i'm happy with the results, specially the 250cc ones. it just is always fun to see jorge doing well.
