Doesn't matter if it's true or not, with 2 engines grenading in 24 hours, the public perception is Yamaha has a flaw in the engine.For some squid looking to buy a sportbike, he hears Yamaha has engine trouble so he buys a Honda, Kawasaki ect.. Yamaha is twisting the engine to its max as its design reached its full potential years ago. as Krop is reporting that dialing it down 50-100 rpms will solve the problem, tells me that this engine is at its limit and anything above is going to be catastrophic. The competitors now know this if they didn't already, and Yamaha's straight line speed is all of a sudden back to being one of the lowest on the grid.
