WSBK: Phillip Island TEST

If Rea has any ambitions of ever riding GP, he has to beat Aoyama. Two years ago many thought Rea was on a fast track to GP and then he kind of stalled in his development. He really needs to contend for the title this year to get back on track.

I agree,

But just following other GP riders when they've stepped down to WSBK it doesn't seem to take them long to get to the pointy end.

I reckon Rea Aoyama is going to be a close inhouse battle for who's top dog in the garage.

Agree. Rea got hurt as well as Honda looked like they "stalled" development mid season. But he finished off strong last season, and I expect him to do well this season. Based on Q1 (yeah, I know it means next to nothing at this point), I think he'll be one to watch (of about 5-8 other guys--which is awesome).

rea should have joined the yamaha wsbk team, all he would have needed to do there to get to gps is finish in 5th place on a machine that is better than the semi works honda

rea (and for that matter laverty) > crutchlow
