Ok, so I said I'd do this, and here it is. In the points per rider I've only included riders that have got points so far, not the grid fillers.

WSBK Championship by Nationality (after round 1 of 13):

Country (Total points) [Average points per rider]

1) Australia (116) [29]
2) Italy (58) [11.6]
3) Great Britain (38) [38]
4) Japan (26) [13]
5) Brazil (19) [19]
6) Spain (13) [6.5]
7) Germany (6) [6]
8) France (6) [3]

WSS

1) Australia (30) [10]
2) France (25) [25]
3) Italy (17) [5.67]
4) Turkey (16) [16]
5) Spain (13) [13]
6) Sweden (11) [11]
7) Denmark (10) [10]
8) Austria (8) [8]
9) Andorra (5) [5]
10) San Marino (3) [3]
11) Great Britain (2) [2]

That was hard work. How come mediocre supersport riders come from unkown countries? If I got anything wrong, let me know.
Well, I'm liking this already. Superbike AND Supersport.
<
And the Italians have got more riders than us
<
Quality over Quantity, guys. They won't stay there long. Sadly, neither will GBR. JT is good, but he can't do it by himself. On the upside, he hasn't got crap riders bringing down the average. If Abe can maintain that form, once Kagayama starts earning points, I think Japan will come out second. But, if Lanzi starts getting his ... into gear, he could take the Italians to second. Should be intresting. Roll on Phillip Island!

I know Andorra's right on your back door Teo, and I know where San Marino is, but the SBK website's only got their flags, so I had to go through and find out what all these flags are. A lot of guessing backed up by Google.
<

I think Aus is gonna win this un hands down!

I dint know we had this smilie http://www.motogpforum.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/.....gif Cool!!

Pinned the topic

That's must have been tough, I've no idea how Andorra's flag looks like, plus it's not even a country, just a principality like Monaco.

It looks like Australia will take this one easily, though Japan is not to be ignored, if Haga hadn't strike Kagayama the standings would look very different.

Anyways GO FONSI, GO XAUS !!!
<

No offense Teo, but your best bet is to wait for the GP season to start.
Nieto and Xaus aren't exactly gonna do as much good as Checa and Pedrosa.

Yeah, when I was a kid I thought it was somewhere near Rohan and Gondor or somthin like that

Ha ha ha. lol
<
Andorra home of the Uruk hai !!

Don't underestimate Xaus, I think he will get good results this year. And Fonsi has been pretty good, it's up to Kawasaki to give him a good bike.

I think Xaus will be a podium challenger soon.

Ok, WSS:

Nation (Total points) [Points per rider]

1) Australia (84) [16.8]
<

2) France (63) [31.5]
<

3) Italy (30) [7.5]
<

4) Denmark (21) [21]
5) Sweden (20) [20]
6) Turkey (16) [16]
7) Austria (15) [15]
8) Spain (14) [14]
9) Andorra (12) [6]
10) San Marino (3) [3]
11) Britain (2) [2]

Isn't it intresting how Britain and France's perfomances in SBK and SS are reversed?
The good thing about doing this is you spend a lot of time looking at the points table and you get a feel for who's doing well. Like Brookes, Currently the leading Ducati. Hopefully he'll manage to bag a podium or two by the end of the season and land a more competitive ride next year. Like with Yamaha Germany. Or even better Ten Kate. Brookes has proved he can win WSS on a CBR. He did it on his Aus-SBK spec CBR600RR in 2004.

The way the season is shaping up Bayliss would just about win this comparison on his own even without Corser on the Australian team.

Hehe . . . Once again Ducati campione del mondo Superbike.

E

Gotta love Bayliss!
