Go Tom!!!!!

I had to like that after Tom just hit the .... off button and left the battle for second.

Johnny on the Honda, which is honestly an old design kicked arse, I don't like Guinters that much and Laverty rode like a pensioner.

Meh!

Tom is the man though.

If Laverty doesn't pick his game up I'll send him a tersely worded email!

Tom....from what little we saw reminded me of Foggy at 'Old Assen'. Great rhythm, unbelievable pace.

Those Aprilia's seem to work everywhere but Assen is definitely a circuit it's possible to take points off them. Rea and Sykes know that, which is apparently why Rea in particular was so nervous before hand.

Rea...To overhaul both Guinter's and Norge who rode so faultlessly and to execute those passes on that particular point of the circuit on inferior machinery....for just for one race, and possibly two, gentlemen suspend your prejudice. Correct me if I'm wrong but that looked like Hoge Heide....a fearsome 140 mph kink. Remember Spies on Haslam Assen 2009? You should do, not just for the astonishing racing, but the fact that he pulled an identical move and in so doing spawned a Rossi-esque wave of adulation which swept across The Atlantic and deluged the forum. Rea rode a blinding race 1...I like to be entertained by such riding so personally hope that he manages to keep his 'mechanised buffoonery' similarly in check for race 2.

Just watching the Supersport grid line up. This always produces at Assen. Two observations - First, good to see Jeremy still involved in the sport as mentor to Jack Kennedy. Second...Foret's an obnoxious ugly little ....!

It pains me to say it but great ride from JR.

Tom just pulled the pin and left them to squabble for 2nd.

Davies did ok Cliche,

13th to 7th isn't bad he just couldn't bridge the gap that was there once past the slower bikes.

I reckon he will do much better in race 2 ;)

Lowes just made my list of favorite riders.

The way he just ignored sofuoglus attempt at closing the door was great stuff

Can't wait for sbk race2

Don't know if anyone was watching the superstock race but the 3 way finish was AWESOME.

Barrier and Canepa were essentially swapping places the last few corder and Barrier (on the BMW) and Canepa (on the Duc) both hammered out of the last corner, but Barrier who doesn't like many rider aids got his front wheel in the air and did a wheelstand into the side of Canepa's Ducati. (He was trying to steer, just the physics involved in having no contact between tyre and ground ...... it all up)

Then what's his name (Mattio????) got the win from 3rd. It was a very ....... good race. Very committed ride from the top 3. Very good to watch, got me all pumped up!!!!!

And then you get a finish like that with Eugene and Tom.

MotogpSpain cannot get this, what an awesome set of races.

My alarm rings to go to work in 5 hours and I'm all hyped up. What a brilliant bit of motorcycling entertainment.

Going by Race 2...a strongly worded one.

A great finish typical and entirely befitting of this majestic wonderful circuit.

Giugliano's pyrotechnics were mere indoor fireworks compared to the absolute undisputed master....Yanagawa San:

I saw it Andy...that was an exciting finish for sure.  I've never seen superstock before, looks as if Ducati have it together there.

What's the difference between superstock and WSBK?

much lower level of tune basically.much more stuff can only be modded slightly or has to remain stock.

the duc works IMO because it can make better use of its chassis and especially engine design wheras in sbk trim the bike is comperatively too heavy and weak on the top end

That just opened up a seat for Mad Max to come back, oh the silly season begins...

He'd only ride an Aprilia thought surely.

Great racing, and sorry Andy I was rooting for Guinters as he's in my MCN league!

Laverty made race 2 all better...

True. To me though Assen is always a bogus track as it seems more even in terms of the field. I expect the Aprilia's to be at the front in Monza.

Mario=best photos :yeah:

So....

Haslam :swoon:

It's a shame this section of the forum doesn't get as much attention, the racing is clearly better than what is currently offered in MotoGP.

It's harder to track down. I can only find torrents, no other way of watching for me. For done reason I could only find race 1 this week. It's been a great season so far. Go Chaz !!

Oh, and the Canadian is gone.. That was a massive mistake Dorna. Shame on you Dorna (Canadian Pension Plan).

I was going to look up some of my ancient posts where I say this ad nauseum.
