So then, now weve had even more testing and the first race is less that a month away who is your
money on to be crowned Wolrd SuperBike Champion 2010?

My money is quite litterly on Leon Haslam - £10 down at 30/1 could be a wise move

Although despite that i am worried that Crutchlow and Biagi could take it away

The old man thinks this will finally be Nori's year although im not sure on that Ducati

So guys what you think?!

Unless the physical beating that Haga took last year takes its toll, im saying he wins it in a walk. Sport can be funny though, a competitor can lose the "edge" seemingly overnight when they get up into the age bracket that Haga resides in.If not Haga, i pick Rea, Fabrizio, or Haslam in a toss up.

i agree. but if haga does have the edge loss or some other problem i'm lookin for rea to do the buisness.

I like 30/1 on Haslam. He's looked impressive in testing. Frankly, I think it comes down to Haslam, Rea, Fab, Haga, Toes and Crutchlow and of that group, I like Haslam's cool. Rea and Fab have a tendency to push too hard. I'm not sure how Haga will respond to losing the title the year he was supposed to win it. In a similar fashion, I'm not sure how Toseland is going to respond to his demotion, especially when dropped into a field deeper than anything he's seen in that paddock. Crutchlow is my dark horse, I think he could have a real chance, I've no idea how he's going to adapt to the SBK again. He's proven he's got bags of speed on the thing, but will that be the case week in, week out? He's going to be good, I just see it as sort of an up and down year for him. If he's consistent, he could make a strong push.

I agree on Crutchlow, when he is on fire no one will catch him, but the days he struggles are going to kill him. If he can minimize that damge I think he is the one to watch.

Haga - If he cancels out his mistakes, which really hurt him bad last year, he will be world champ.

Toseland - Too early to tell. He's going to be fast but I don't think he's going to take world champ.

Rea - I think one more year to mature. Definitely going to be there though. Just needs to control his mind a little more in intense moments.

Haslem - I think one year to learn the new bike on all the tracks. I don't think he will be consistent enough to win.

Fabi - If he can have a better start to the year, he is going to be there at the end of the season.

Neuk - Not looking too good on the Honda so far.

Biaggi - Can the Aprilla improve on it's bike and can Biaggi keep it together for a whole season. Me think not.

Did I miss anyone?

Yeah, Shakey and Corser, whilst not championship contenders both are definitely potential race winners

I'd love to see Shakey do the business this year.

i think if you got him on the Xerox Ducati he might be able to do the business but i cant see him upsetting too many as he is

Hard to say, I don't know much about the Althea team but he tested rather well and I've read bits that the team have a rather large sum of money invested. Could potentially be a stronger outfit than he was with in 2009 based on some of the things I've read about the Sterilgarda Ducati team having money troubles. I think Xaus had to inject some of his personal money into the team in 2008 to make things work.

He's probably good for a few podiums this season, might be able to snatch an odd win. I like the guy, seems nice enough, but I don't think he'd set the world alight regardless of his ride. All the best to him, I'd like to see it happen.

Nitro Nori should do it, but then again he should have done it last year...

Should be a great year in WSBK for the Brits. We have got plenty of dudes capable of regular podiums.
Johnny Rea is going to be a real contender and I wanna see Cal do his stuff.
JT is a tough one to predict. Not sure how he will handle it if Crutchlow gets out the traps quicker than him.
Should be good fun this year

Very hard to predict this year,so can`t make a choice. One things for sure is the podium will probably feel more brit boots on it than is usual.

I'm thinking Haga. If he doesn't get it this year - time to retire and
become a team manager. Otherwise he's just accruing more injuries
that he'll regret in his later years. The more he doesn't win the championship
the more painful it is to watch. Maybe someone can start a Seniors Series
Haga, Chili, Duhamel, Mladin Biaggi etc. Could be fun.
