The Repsol Caixa team made a stupid mistake. The penalty Marquez received essentially removed him from the Championship, well maybe 95% gone. I can only speculate, but I think if Bradl would have made the same mistake, the penalty would have been the same. Give that 5% to the rider to show his worth.

Marquez coming back to the position he finished is his own merit. He's an amazing rider, and had he not fought to keep the championship as tight as it is, the best rider would have been removed from the championship. After the first couple laps he cut through the backmarkers of Moto 2 and the following laps he slowly progressed to where he finished. I don't think there is a Marquez Moto2 Special engine at there.

Race direction, in their decision, took the championship away and said "show us magic if you are championship material. You acted like an idiot yesterday, prove us wrong." He did.

And if Bradl would have been "handed" the championship due to a disqualification penalty of the best rider in the class, the title would loose a lot.

Moto2 is a JOKE.

Wow I agree with you

Avoiding blanket statements that contribute little to anyone or anything, Moto2 has been consistently interesting to watch - with its own set of front runners all similarly placed and a huge middle order to throw up loads of possibilities. Right now, despite the points being in Bradl's favour, having seen the way he reacts on track when put under real pressure I still think Marquez will be able to take it if he can avoid doing anything as monumentally stupid as he did this week in last couple of races. He had something to prove/make up for today and did it in style (though quite how his bike was THAT much faster off the line is a difficult one to answer).

Ultimately you should face a race ban for dangerous riding that causes the injury of another, but seeing as that didn't happen, we can now look forward to a down to the wire finale to the season.

Or maybe Marquez is just a .... who's had everything handed to him and Moto2 is only there to keep people who only watch for the crashing entertained... but if that's the only way you can view this kind of thing then frankly I don't see the point in watching at all.

So Bradl needs 13th place at Valencia if Marquez wins, if Marquez doesn't then it's over. It could be tense, it could be straightforward but it looks like marquez did all the hard to work only to fall ever so slightly short.
