The current situation

Joan Lascorz remains hospitalized at the Institute Guttmann to continue the rehabilitation program and to adapt to his new life. It is expected that by the middle of next September Joan will leave the center. Lascorz has suffered a lesion of the C6 vertebra due to the impact against a concrete wall on the track at Imola. Joan has remedied a dislocated vertebra C6 spinal cord injury resulting in irreversible judged by doctors. Joan is quadriplegic: has no mobility in his legs, fingers and abdominal area, but warns sensitivity of the hands, face, neck, arms, shoulders, elbows and wrists. It '100% of the mental faculties and is already thinking, with great strength and motivation, to a new career in other sports.

.... me.... I'm so sorry to hear this. I always had such a good feeling about the guy and loved to watch him race.

Words fail me.

Damn. Such a good kid and bright future. All I can hope is that he can cope with this tragic situation. I know I wouldn't have the strength, and wouldn't blame anybody for being discouraged.
