What GOAT means to you?

Yeah, but there's also a reason that the "american era" is considered a "golden age"...

To compare like with like, you really should put the 'factory' qualifier in there.

Ago, Hailwood, Lawson, Rainey, Rossi, etc. were factory riders from the get-go. There have been very few instances since 1949 where a non-factory rider has gotten a foot on the step.

I think of a horny animal.

But we haven't even met!
<

To me GOAT means breaking your leg worse than 'the goat' ever did, having it come within a bees .... of amputation, and in the same year loosing the championship by only 2 points.

And then re-learning how to ride your bike because you cant brake with your foot anymore.

But there's only one Troy, isn't there?

(Oh wait. What?? There's two?? Dammit - another theory blown to the weeds!)

Not sure if serious lol

Baby troy's wildcard ride at Phillip Island gives me goosebumps every time I watch it but definitely not GOAT material.

OK, you meant Doohan - phew! I never know which Aussie nearly lost which body part - they seemed to make a game of it.

Bayliss lost his bollock, didn't he? As well as the end of a finger...

Not a good trade, IMO.

haha yea bayliss lost a nad and the end of a finger.

Doohan nearly lost his leg because it wasn't treated properly, and then the end of his pinkie got ground off when he crashed.

Yea have to agree with you not a good trait, I still have all my body parts, maybe im not a real aussie?

Nah, just a ..... one

You should go koala baiting till they have nipped something away, then she'll be right!

I spoke with Bayliss about that crash and he tells a funny story about a kid hassling him for a glove or something & and autograph. The kid was quite inconsiderate and not too kind given Bayliss's condition. A ruptured testicle and crushed finger should be a good enough reason for not signing an autograph. Funny guy and awesome to talk to.

I also have bits of two fingers missing....you learn to work around it fairly quickly.

I've kind of balanced out losing bits by having something transplanted from a donor.
