What do we think about Nicky and what he should do at Ducati after 2012???

Yams pulled out of WSBK

I am sure he could get the same deal that Checa had with Ducati....non-factory bike with a lot of factory support.....assuming Yam wanted to take Nicky and Nicky wanted to leave GPs....or not be send to the minor league team in 2013 like Colin this year...

Migs, I personally would love to see Nicky in WSBK aboard Ducati's factory in 2013.

Possibly, I'd be up for anything that put a Yam on the grid TBH

The series seems strange without at least one there

Nicky should try to get a Sat Honda ride. Would be better than a factory Ducati & being Rossi's number 2.

He didn't burn his bridges with Honda & it would be good for Honda USA to have the 2006 Honda World champ back, so there may be some factory help for him.

That actually sounds a good option. Surely he could get enough backing from such a suggestion ???

Only if Duc put up a factory team....otherwise, i do think Nicky will be getting the Capirossi treatment by Ducati at the end of this season....

Ohhh shut up.......geez. Nicky has been a no-body, all he is is a a walking bilboard. A 'fluke' champion....... a by-product of HONDA'S investment in an American rider........ and it paid off, he sold bikes to the American market. Honda was the best, in their prime at the helm's with Hayden, but dude couldn't do ........ don't even bring up 06'. Don't even go there with me.

Eff u all..... trying to praise the under-achiever just so you can feel good about yourself cuz you somehow symphatize.

Racing is cut throat.....as it should be. Only the strong survive. Nuff said.

There are only 2 and 1/2 "strong" riders in MotoGP. How is it that the rest of the grid "survive?"

Would Abraham be one of your "strong survivors" or is his daddy's money the real strength in that operation?

Don't interpret my insolence to infer that I don't enjoy your drivel. Your "interests" are frankly brilliant so by all means continue to post. We won't hold the content of your posts against you.

Who has cut the mustard on the Ducati? Certainly not Rossi. Therefore, should Rossi retire too? No way.

Nicky's no doubt accumulated a fair chunk of change over the years.

In 2012's spirit of buying your way to the top, I wonder if he's considered throwing a wad of cash at Gresini and Honda to purchase a satellite ride with a guaranteed good-as-the-factory-effort bike.

Anything's better than being Rossi's ...... (And not even his #1 ..... - that 'honor' goes to Uccio.)

Nicky "The Kentucky Squid" Hayden will go down in history as the most over-rated 'champion'....(and I use that word lightly) in the history of not only MotoGP but racing as a whole, all the way down to club level racing. This guy has been silver spoon fed his whole entire career........ and THAT is the only reason why he's been doing average in his career instead of being great which, given superior equipment at his disposal, should have achieved considerably more.

2 wins and he's a champion....bahahahahahaha. This dude is a joke amongst clowns.

Perhaps Yamaha might pick him up, afterall they are in need of sponsors......and if they can't get sponsors, well......... Nicky "the salesman" Hayden can always sell bikes with a smile like his. Just ask Honda and Ducati.

Shut the .... up boy, at least Nicky accepts the challenge of racing...where were you in Donington 2010? Probably crying at home and masturbating while using your own tears as lubricant

I'm not certain Hayden is still out there with that kind of 'all or nothing' attidude. The past couple season I've seen flashes of true grit and determination during races, but I also often had the feeling that he has resigned to never getting another 2006. Or even another win.

Agree, early 2010, he was on fire again, finishing regularly above Stoner. I'd really like to see him in the mix again, he's the king of consistancy, and deserves better.

if the spanish and british gp of 2010 count as regulary ,then yes

nicky is a real fighter and there is no doubt about that, just see where he finished compared to his teammate last year and considering the cirumstances thats not too bad i think.

i think hayden has been on strange bikes since 2007, first the pedrocycle then the ducati. hard to judge him in those years ,especially as #2 rider to pedrosa and rossi

OK,put it another way first 5 racers

Stoner, 2xDNF 2x 4th, 1x5th

Nicky, 1x DNF, 4x4th

Sounds like better finishing to me

that is no testimony of hayden being on fire, more of stoner struggling .

i think his last really good ride was aragon 2010, fighting with jorge

Aragon was probably the last time Nick felt comfortable on the bike hence the battle with Jorge. Curious to see if the GP12 gives Nick the confidence to throw it in there this year.

I'm inclined to agree that he was on bikes perhaps not ideally suited to him thoughout the 800 era, even though a believe a stint on a Yamaha or Suzuki would not have shown much different results (and that pretty much covers all available bikes). So I'm happy to leave results aside for a moment. Purely subjectively speaking, I'd still maintain that, although sometimes he's shown to be a real fighter on track, a lot of the time he looked like someone who has resigned himself to being a subtopper. Hence I don't think he'd be ready to invest his own cash into a sattelite Honda as Geonerd suggested. That would take more self-confidence than I believe he has at this point in time. Dare I say it, at times I get the feeling that he is unclear about his primary motiviation to still be in GP racing: winning or cash.
