How many GP bikes/riders use traction control? I read this week about factory ducati and suzuki in world superbike using it. GP?

From what I've read all the top teams use traction control. I know the Suzis didn't have it in '05 but are rumored to have a Magnetti Marelli electronics package to take care of that. In 2006 I would assume the vast majority if not all the teams will be using some form of traction control.

I think Kawa's got it. Their electroincs are desined to prevent wheelies, so you think Traction control would be there too.

....No wheelies? Where's the fun???

pics in last weeks MCN of Roberts on Proton,. he switched TC off to play it up for the cameras,.

that was an awful waste of a good rider for whatever reasons,. still can't figure out how you can go from Champ to also run in one year, Suzuki really f__ked up there, and still haven't addressed the prob's

TC is there to prevent the rear wheel from spinning, which is bad because it overcooks the tire and reduces acceleration. I think everyone in MotoGP uses it.

The anti-wheelie thing I've read is a launch control system (like the one they had in F1 in 2003), in the start procedure the rider will just completely release the clutch and the electronics will make sure maximum acceleration is obtained without stalling and without wheelies. I don't think the LC is used once the race is started.
