This Ducati must be stopped!

Ahh. I was thinking it has to happen at some point. Bautista beats Bautista. But no joy for poor Rea, VDM took Bautista's place and left Rea second, again ...

Good days racing all told, thought the Rea two fold penalty was a bit lenient tbh...
I think in my mind he should've been disqualified from the race 1 standings then allowed to continue as was...
Rea was bang out of order as Lowes was on full lean 1st into the corner while Rea was still on the fat part of the tyre then T boned him...(Only my opinion, before the elitists jump in)

Cracking racing in the other classes especially the SP300 , had to laugh when Hendra Pratama thought he'd got 3rd place when he was 100yrds or more from the finish line giving it away to a well deserved Ana Carrasco !

And where did MM see it first. One V.Rossi punting Gibbers off the track in 2005.

Yes, MM made a practice of re-enacting questionable moves by Rossi, he did the Laguna Seca one on Rossi himself. Perhaps he sees no need to put a Gibernau curse on him at this point in time.

I actually am finding it more difficult to feel much rancour towards Rossi this year, he does seem to be riding for the love of it now and still rather well, and to have forsworn off-track shenanigans. Still not so keen on some of his old style fans.

The trouble is his mr Blobby friend in the garage again, a right old .... who needs the boot.

Another one was Spies, who saw that one coming?

At the time everyone said AMA was a weak series next thing it's champion rocks up in the world championship at tracks he's never even seen and ends up breaking records on his way to winning the title on a brand new bike.

Actually at that time the AMA Superbike series was the preeminent National series on the planet with real race bikes and talent such as Spies, Mladin, Duhamel . I was not surprised at all at his performance his rookie year as he was established as one of the best Superbike riders in the history of the sport before he moved to WSBK.

I had a feeling he'd do well because he'd impressed on the Suzuki MotoGP bike in a couple of wildcard appearances the year before and I'd watched his battles with Mladin(Mat was actually a hero of mine) but I never expected him to win the title at the first attempt. It's a shame how his career ultimately ended up though, brilliant rider.

Sic transit gloria mundi.

I guess the bright side for Ducati is they don't have to pay enormous bonuses for unexpected success.
