Radha, I strongly suspect, avatar, member name and signature aside, that I have met you in a previous incarnation.
Dasja vu perhaps?
Wait, wasn't this thread supposed to be about the "other" riders? It has already been hijacked by the Stoner-Rossi epic debate. Great.
Let me contribute:
Stoner tried two bikes, both worked for him.
Rossi tried three bikes, two out of three worked for him.
So what we know as a fact is that both of them could win on two different bikes.
Now, until Stoner returns and tries a third bike, and settles the dispute once and for all, we could lay this matter to rest.
About the "other" riders: Viva Yonni Hernandez!
J5rn0, that is the beauty of this forum. Even when we
steer away from the topic, we don't need anybody
cattle prodding us to get back on topic to preserve some lofty delusion of achieving forum
consciousness of peace and unity as if this is some deity state we must achieve. We are happy to rehash this contentious debate regarding VR/
Duc's apparent absentee era from what his supporters describe as owning everybody. Clearly, VR had taken a hiatus from any supposed status during those years on the Duc.
Irrespective of any
modifications to this narrative, that is during his Duc years, its quite clear absent any revisions, that it was an unmitigated disaster for all involved. But this is a highly contentious topic, as you point out,
derailing many threads. It was not so long ago that this very topic was discussed, and if you look back to it, even those who claim to uphold forum virtue and standards of etiquette conducted themselves in condescending smug and vitriolic terms. Even Heisman, who I have met, and is knowledgeable and lives a
natural form of life, mild mannered, and speaks after profound
meditation, was subjected to
mantra of members, one particularly with a superiority complex. But that is often the allure of this forum, Powerslide, one that people are free to express themselves, as there are other more sterile forums as a
matter of fact, one could easily join if that is what you want, where the moderation is never
rusty, and members banned to be tossed away in a
bucket.
??? They were in the queueing behind me flying out of Austin the other year and there's nothing on the girl.
Now if you'd have said that about Hector's ex missus, she would have put you on your arse.
Maybe my memory is ... backwards. But I'm sure that is what I saw, though I admit, I was at the rear end of the cue when I looked over a Yonni. Perhaps we are not talking about the same bovine? Or he got rid of her for obvious reasons, which from your description of her, was the right thing to do. Are you sure you got a good look and not at the caboose end of the cue?
