Logic isn't exactly a strong point for you guys. At this time last year when Rossi was leading the championship rather than 37 points behind there was no great animus against Rossi on here, he was being given respect for his competitiveness, if grudgingly by some posters, and noted Rossi-haters such as Jumkie and I were taking MM to task for his last lap Assen move.
What has happened since then is the pre-Sepang press conference and events subsequent, which threw his career long character and behaviour into sharp relief for many posters on this forum. I have a different more succinct description for what you guys have acclaimed as subtle and clever "mind games". I call it chickenshit behaviour. The fact that he was (particularly against the like of Biaggi and Gibernau) and possibly still is good enough not to have any necessity to resort to such means only makes it worse.

So much personal abuse here for Rossi fans, don't understand why the worlds most popular and most charismatic rider is hated so much here, off course you are the experts.
Not just Rossi fans, but often those that disagree with the aforementioned Rossi fans are themselves often abused or ridiculed so at no time is the traffic all one way, but yes, this forum is one of the rare bastions of 'non yellow' incursion which does weight any comments negative of Rossi (weight in terms of numbers, vitriol is about even).
You will find that like all things, opinions are like ........ but this place has a significant number of well informed people, involved people, people who have been watching the sport for a great many years (in some cases, far longer than Rossi has been alive) and so what you have is an eclectic bunch who has seen the sport and watched it evolve. Like a lot of things, sometimes in the eyes of some, change is good however at other times the change may not be for the betterment of the sport.
As for charismatic, there have been personalities way before Rossi arrived on the scene, many of them incredible characters, some effervescent people with a lust for life so Rossi is not unique nor (IMO) the most charismatic that I have seen.

Yet you ignore all the vilification of MM and JL everywhere else but here, and the previous vilification of every other significant rival Rossi has ever had, which is the main basis of objections to Rossi on here, and present nothing but motherhood statements in Rossi's favour yourself.
I find lorenzos riding more charismatic than anything Rossi or any other rider has to say.

What can't I ignore, btw? That Rossi while a great rider reveals his petulance more and more with the passing of time, and that a significant percentage of his fans continue to prove they don't actually understand the sport they purport to follow?

Now if we get into the fine details of those 4 reasons. We will have a FACTUAL novel and a best seller.
Jum, Micahaelm, JPS, Arrabbiata1 & many other of us without rose colored glasses on have detailed each of these 4 topics many many times. What I don't understand is. Why do you rossi worshipers/boppers comes here? Knowing very well this is NOT an idol worshiping site. Please explain??

Dude, i have been saying it for years. The typical Rossi fan is the least informed fan there is in motorsport. Statements such as this make debating them a waste of time as they have no credibility
. Most riders took the better part of a year to learn how to ride an electronic free 990. Vale smoked the entire grid that year. The 2 stroke riders had the advantage of familiarity and the were still left in the dust.

Never ever has the saying," Its better to stay quiet and let people think you are stupid, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt" applied more than it does here. The total lack of knowledge of GP oozing out of that statement is astounding.
I don't think either Lorenzo or Marquez are too worried about Rossi they both know if it comes down to the line Rossi will choke as he usually does when the pressure is there.
