#04: "He was fast, but he was too slow in the middle of the corner, he was struggling too much with the front. I think he also didn't want to let me past, and he stopped too much in the middle of the corner.“

#99: "That is my merit because with no pace I can lead race and another rider can't do that, it's my lucky thing, my talent, let's say, in the last years.“

Oh, .... son. It’s terrible when actual quotes get in the way of forum propaganda!

BRB, getting some popcorn to watch the Ducati bitchfest for the rest of the year.
I’m scared to ride around him, he is destroying the sport

Yea, same thing

Cognitive dissonance is an unsurprising character for someone who voted to make ‘Murica great again, but I will spoon feed you the actual quote from you that I was replying to.

the three combatants at Jerez have handled it like gentlemen

In a sport of Diva’s that is gentleman like. Probably the biggest whiner of that group is Dovi, must be an Italian thing.

Can’t find it, but Pedrosa had an equally whiny response too once the cameras were gone. Something about race direction not giving him the time of the day.

All 3 riders were annoyed, they all crashed out of a race.

All 3 riders thought there was fault with the other 2 riders, probably because there was, although in retrospect Dovi probably had the least fault, his only fault being to make a pass that wasn't going to stick, leaving himself open for an immediate re-pass which would have been fine if only he and Jorge had been involved.

Their comments were orders of magnitude less inflammatory than Rossi's comments about MM on 2 occasions, both in calling MM a dangerous rider and pretty much a general threat to the sport after Argentina, and calling him a cheat who was aiding Lorenzo's title chances after a race MM actually won thereby depriving Jorge of points in 2015.

So yes, their comments were absolutely quite gentlemanly in comparison with Rossi's. Dani even directly said he was not calling for Jorge's suspension, which could be interpreted as him differentiating himself from Rossi's whine post the Argentinian race.

So if I call you a turd instead of a stinking ...., that’s gentlemanly?
Ok, you’re a turd.

On that note, I'd anticipate Dovi leaving Ducati at the end of the season.

I am a biased Australian gp bike racing fan, and while Ducati are currently looking as though they are considering for a second time dispensing with the only rider who can ride their bike, admirable though Dovi may be a spring chicken he is not, and if he is holding out for something like current Jorge money he is asking Ducati to repeat another previous mistake. I don’t think putting say Jack Miller on the factory bike for 10% or 20% of such money is necessarily completely stupid.

I like Dovi too, but that is a good shout, Mike.(if you don't mind me being familiar).
How long did it take for things to fall into place with Dovi and the Duke? Quite a few years, in fact it wasn't until his first dry win that it all seemed to click.
Who's to say that that wouldn't happen with Jack? As you pointed out, Jack has time on his side.
Personally I would like to see Dovi and Jack as factory riders.
My highlight of the season so far is a toss up between Marc's gravel slide in Jerez and Jack's slick qualifying laps of Argentina.

I don't think he's holding out for JLo level coin, though I do think he wants double, and some of what he's currently contracted. I agree with rest, but Ducati need some momentum to be serious challengers. One off flash in a pan championships are not worth the investment in GP. Get the riders and develop. Now time is to reward the rider who developed; but not outrageously.

Can’t wait for the wall to come up in the Ducati garage!

Ducati only needs to ask Yamaha to get the blueprint so they don’t have to reinvent the whet. I’m sure Yamaha won’t mind since a couple of years into Lorenzo’s stint they took it down for good to make everybody had a chance to win.

Aren't Dovi and Jenifer Lopez the same age?
