From a news article about a red bull rookie:
Beaubier, who turned 15 on Dec. 6, has literally been racing around the globe. In 2007, he was part of the inaugural Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, competing in nine European countries. He won one race and finished sixth in the overall standings.

Before Christmas, he spent 10 days in Australia as the guest of current MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner. Of course, they also did some racing.

"Just fun stuff," Beaubier said.

I think that is quite unlikely. I guess the point that is being made is that stoner is not the self-obssessed stormtrooper some consider him, and even at his young age is attempting to foster younger riders. I believe he has tried to help chaz davies as well.

I'm pretty sure he and his father have set up a team in the 125cc championship in Australia to nurture talent here. Good to see him putting something back into the sport and to mentor the next generations of Australian stars ... there are plenty more just waiting to get an opportunity!

During the bit on his Young Australian of the Year award they mentioned that when he was 10 he spent his spare time at the track teaching the 5-6 year olds how to be faster. Hard to believe that he had spare time considering in one weekend he would race in 30 races and typically win all 30! And this is someone who supposedly never won anything and is an 'all of a sudden' champion. Another comment was how at that age he was already winning 4 lap races by over half a lap. Seems like his whole career has been about - how much he can win by not if he can win.

When you actually know about his career and the sacrifices he and his family have made for him to be a WC it is really hard to listen to talk trash about him. Probably the reason why so many people in the know defend him with such passion in the face of those that are so quick to devalue his accomplishments.

He is truely a great young Australian and a great ambassador for MotoGP.

I have no doubt that Rossi has ploughed his Millions back into supporting young Italians get the breaks they need to make it to the next level. I would love to here about the details if someone can tell us.

I think thats the type of racer he is for sure, which kinda makes it understandable why he got the name "crashy" in his first year of motogp, he's not the type of guy to take it easy and work his way into it, more the "use everything I currently have" type.

Don't worry about some of the wackers on here ..... its off season so they are getting frustrated .... you gotta remember you must be feeling pretty good after last year ..... other riders fans are feeling somewhat different

I think thats why there doesn't seem so many pissed off Stoner and Pedrosa fans at the moment .... and possibly why they bear the brunt of most of the hate
