Some highlights:

Is this generation of the Desmosedici the best you’ve ever ridden?

"No. The bike from 2009 was really, really impressive, despite the fact I wasn't fighting for the championship because I couldn't [he was diagnosed with lactose intolerance].

...
"If Valentino still loves to race and is competitive, there’s no reason to retire. He is still one of the best options to have in a factory team and what he brings to the championship is huge."

Sign me up. What a relief. For the past few days I’ve been trying in vain to take a long walk off a short pier with concrete boots. Unfortunately the concrete boots were too heavy for my old geriatric legs to move. But now Stoner and Rossi are friends, we can all enter the new, post apocalyptic era of powerslide, were we hold hands and sing around the campfire refraining from calling each other ...... I predict even Roger will soon return. Peace will reign over the universe. For about 1 minute. Lord Talpa will slaughter us all with a mighty cane toad drone army and reign over the world from his throne. We all must chant on a daily basis, ‘Queenslander, Queenslander!!!!!!’

Whew thank God I just woke up and it was all a bad dream. But why do I have concrete boots on. Que play X files music now......

Here, I'll quote that again because I know how you boners have selective reading.

Man that hurts. Doesn't the truth suck. I feel bad for you boners. You've spent the better part of the decade telling us how handicapped he was the entire Ducati tenure.

Still no ill words about the evil Dorna either, which is strange seeming that he holds back about nothing.
Its almost as if he retired because he had enough of racing which seems ironic because that's exactly why he said he retired.

Too true. Bloody buck tooth milky bar introverted arsehole with no talent. He’s even a crap fisherman I heard, couldn’t catch a cold. .... that 2009 Duc could’ve rode itself to the championship, no pilot necessary.

Or maybe he holds back on Dorna accusations in case they ‘clip Ducati’s wings’?

Who cares? Go Dovi!!!!!

For those who don’t get it, I watch MotoGP through the good, the bad and the ugly in hopes of witnessing a man like Dovi holding the trophy. And the priveledge of actually being alive to witness Marquez ride a bike? F’ing amazing. Rossi? A privelege too in the years 2006 to present. Stoner? Meh? Quitter? Talpa rallies the army!!!! Nah, Nicky set was actually the hero. He did what was considered impossible. He beat Rossi. Once the ..... was exposed, they just lined up.

As I often say, you guys are more obsessed with ancient history concerning Stoner than those who were/are actual fans of his.

I enjoyed following his career and am happy that I got to do so, but am happy to follow the current riders now and may even see a different countryman prove vaguely competitive this year.

I was not going to comment on this article, but as opposed to what he was wont to say in interviews when racing which tended towards stream of consciousness, what he says in this interview is rather logical and internally consistent.

However FWIW, having a memory better than that of the average goldfish (unlike some who post on here it would appear), what he said about the 2009 Ducati is what he has always said about that bike, including in 2009, ie that it was a bike with championship potential that he couldn’t utilise because of his health issues. His results that season are consistent with same. The 2010 attempt to make a carbon frame Ducati into a Yamaha after the Marlboro man decided to pursue Valentino or Jorge was the unrideable pig that even Stoner frequently threw down the road if he rode at an at all competitive pace. No DNFs due to putting the bike down in 2009 by Stoner in races he actually rode as I recall.

What he said about the GP9 isn't anything new, said it at the time and said it in his book.

What book is that, Ducanetics? Stoner fans share the same behavior as Scientologists.
Once a threat is percieved, Stonerientologists label the commenter as a suppressive person and the onslaught to assassinate your character ensues.

I thought it was a pretty good read. I'm a bit surprised he felt that Lorenzo would have been better despite knowing Lorenzo's style is not conducive to Duc's tendencies. Maybe that bike was better than given credit for. It would explain how a former pretender became a pre contender. It didn't make sense to me that a journeyman became a contender overnight.
I guess it shows, that the way to find an alien is give them an alien bike

It may well have always been self-serving as his book may also have been, but it remains the case that it is always what he has said about the 2009 Ducati.

As far as psychotic (in the medical sense) science fiction riders are concerned, my preference was for Cordwainer Smith, and AE Van Vogt who had his own wacky philosophical system, over L Ron, both far more entertaining as actual writers.

He has "no idea" either. Literally. He's just throwing out words from his word hole like a monkey throwing feces. Whatever sticks, sticks. Meh.

Trolls are sad, lonely people who crave validation but haven't a clue as to how get it. They can't be reasoned with and they can't be shamed. Best to just ignore them. Life is too short to waste on them.
