<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>if repsol didnt sponsored yam but red bull did and rossi was still there, would he have to drop his monster sponsor ?
Yup, so long Monster money. Just like Nicky having to part with Red Bull because of Ducati's ties with Gatorade.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>don't wanna poo poo the whole repsol to yamaha thing, but when petronas signed up with yamaha, wasn't there a big article on motogp.com stating how the two companies do alot of business together. don't think yamaha signing up repsol would be too popular, if this is the case.
Yeah, they have some business deals like Petronas developing Yamalube for Yamaha bikes and other things such as Yamaha supplying bikes to Petronas Team. The sponsorship if not mistaken is at least for three years. Even without the Petronas factor, I don't think Repsol want to leave HRC , but mathematically there are more possibilities Lorenzo will leave Yamaha to joint Repsol Honda in year 2011. That if only Rossi is still with Petronas Yamaha.
.... me, we get the odd double post but 5 ??
if your not sure your post went through why not open up the forum in another tab and see rather than keep hitting the post button. thats what i do

<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>he likes to keep his options open... you know that.... will he go for a 3rd manufacture?
I can't find the interview, but Rossi said he doesn't need to prove anything by going to another manufacturer, as he's already done it and isn't as young as he was then, and he is very happy with the Yamaha family. So I guess as long as they keep giving him a competitive bike, he'll remain with Yamaha until he retires. I think he has also said he would like to be remembered as a Yamaha rider.

He's done loads of work on that bike, it was bearly ridable when he got on it, (or was that just Biaggi)
anyway he's certainly turned it around. I reckon he'll stay with them.

That has to be the biggest joke in motrogp. biaggi saying to rossi "its all the bike,if we swapped i'd be winning and you loosing" they do swap but the results are the same

Yep, I remember him saying that!
I think he's still running with a number 3 on his bike, or is it 4 now!
