Stranger things have happened and Colin does ride well here and was on the podium last year.
Ya never know.

Yeah, but I don't belive it before I see it. I've been waiting for his first win for ages but now I'm close to giving up.
Pedrosa will be near the top of the list after QP. That anoying little man tends to start slow and working his way up.
Nice to see Rossi on pace. Both he annd Stoner are holding back right now. I saw them both having some realy fast intermediates in an otherwise dead slow lap.

Dani will get ahead of Nicky by tomorrow afternoon...Spaniard in Spain....

Dovi will be close to Nicky as well.

Edwards....and backward is my thinking...

Rossi is sharp already....

And Stoner well what can you say...a deserving champ again and again!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pinky @ Mar 28 2008, 12:55 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>anyone know what the race lap times where last year??

Rossi, the winner, started on low 41's with a best lap of 1:40.9 and garadually slowed down to the 42's in the end.

Hayden was quickest here in the tests a month ago (though Dani was injured and Casey crashed) so I think he might do pretty well here. Otherwise, he'll always have Laguna seca!

Rossi should do better than in Qatar so IMO the victory will be disputed by Stoner, him and Pedrosa.

Edwards? Not a chance.

Yep, add 6 places to his first practice finish and we're in Edwards country.

wow haydens sliding about like pinky in heels, just set a nice time tho.

dam stoners bike seems abit unsturdy today he must be brave to be setting good times, hes off but seems ok, looks like he lost the front.

Is there oil somewhere? Or were all crashes at different places?

Different places - no oil only got a good look at Stoner - low sided - he was going quick but he's back in the pits talking to his mechanics. toseland is back out. i think all 3 low sided and are all ok.

Hopkins down now - walking away - bike looks ok - so I presume he low sided as well. One thing for sure - all the ducatis are .... except for Stoner and the kawasakis suck as well.

god knows what setting rossi just came out with but seemed to work instantly, 1'40"364

valerie looking consistent in the 1'40's

lorenzo and hayden looking quick too, lorezo and rossi very close

If not very lucky he sure didn't have bad luck getting uninjured from that one. High speed and quite a few tubles and the bike was smashed pretty badly. And in case anyone was wondering, that's a Good Thing.

Lorenzo still learning. his intermediates 2, 3 and 4 changes a lot, but he finally got the string that gave him the best time. Good for him and the spanish spectators.

BTW. Look at the top 8. Very much the same players as Quatar, except Hayden, now with the new '08.
