Spoiler--WorldSBK Utah This really is still a MotoGP forum

That's just how superbike riders deal with problems, i didn't think there were many more crashes than usual.

Pretty boring racing overall imo.

Checa has created his own history..well done for GP old horse..

Looks like he can challenge Bayliss for this year WSBK title..go Checa go..

That's right!! GO Bounced Checa!!

I would like to see it come down to the wire between him and Bayliss....World Superbike Excitement!!

Checa was inch perfect all weekend, its about bloody time. I was expecting him to bin it once he got to front like usual. But to be fair he was spot on, and hopefully he can challenge Bayliss for the title now

Checa was very impressive, the rest of the grid could be in trouble when that Honda is fully sorted.Pity `bout the track though,it was just a featureless arena....pants.

If you are reffering to the surroundings i would disagree because there is something i like about the featurless "Playground in thed middle of nowhere" look tracks like this (and the desert tracks). However the crowd facilities at Miller looked a bit amatuer and the actual layout of the turns was not too exciting. There are both better and worse tracks on the calender.

i think it's the camera locations that are making it look a bit 'less exciting'.

i dunno if it's just me but European track seen to have the cameras on the apex's and right in the action but it didn't seem the case @ utah ? it all seemed a bit distant to me ???????

I wondered the same, perhaps the camera work was just shoddy. I noticed the speed logo flashing up between replays, perhaps thats something to do with it?

True, have you seen how shocking the AMA coverage is?

They could learn a few things from us Europeans.

Did anyone see what happened to Rueben.. they just showed him crawling off the track ever so slowly? Looked bad...

My dad went to the race and saw the crash, he said it looked pretty painful because his groin area and legs landed on top of the handle bars as he was falling, and he hit the floor pretty hard too.

It was pretty sad seeing him crawl off the track like that

Yeah
Thankfully there were 4 track workers on hand to pull his bike out of the way.

Through a substantial amount of pain killing injections. Having never broken a bone prior to this, he probably didn't know how bad he'd feel in the days immediately after the race.

Yes, and back then I promised to post some pics. I can't find the thread where I attempted it, but I found this one, so here goes a few from last year. Yeah, I know very late guys, but I'm now more motivated since I will again be going this year. This time I'll be meeting Frosty and Curve too.

This are just a few I found from my point-shot camera, but I think I have better ones somewhere. I'll look when I get home.

These of the track were taken from my RV. This is what I woke up to in the morning.

Carlos Checa fell in practice and ran infront of my RV..haha. I yelled out to him "Cabron!"

They had a helo for hire so I took a ride to get a few shots from the air.

BTW, not sure if any of you know, but Utah is the Mormon capital of the world. Here is where you can find all the hottie Mormon chicks--the Temple in downtown Salt lake City.

And you know they put out. Just check out what they drink.

Uhm, I'll find some good pics when I get home, if I can find them...

Frosty and I will see you there. Curve may also be there too. I'll bring a bottle of Don Julio Tequila.

I'll probably head over there this year, but just on Saturday. Are both races on Sunday? Would it even be worth it to just go on Saturday?
