Aoyama 8th???
<

He's been a backmarker so far this season and he's 8th quickest!

It is amazing what a new track will do to the pecking order!! Aoyama is no slouch, it is just taking some time for him to flush '250' out of his riding style brain, and get down with the 1000cc gruntwork!!

Go Ao!!

Its a shame AMA doesn't run Pirellis or WSBK doesn't run dunlops as I would have loved to have seen the Spies, Mladin, DiSalvo etc against the international riders but i'm still really excited about this meeting, looks like a really nice, fast paced track from what I saw of the AMA boys last year.

C'mon Nori and Kiyo!

I saw on MCN the WSB boys are already lapping faster than the AMA guys did on the same circuit.

Go Kiyo!

Do you have a link to that info?
I thought that WSBK was running on a track that AMA has never run on before?

Haga's one tough son of a ....., still managed to claim 10th in superpole with a fresh broken collerbone. Can't see him getting more than a couple of points in the two races but getting any points at all is a miracle.

Nice to see Checa get his first pole in superbikes aswell.

WOW, what a shocker of a weekend!! Bayliss doesn't look so comfortable now he's lost almost all of his lead as the season approaches half way. The track was interesting as the riders could use lots of different lines, but the layout didn't look great. Two great rides from Checa who has thrown himself into contention, great stuff.

It's so quiet in this department...

I think this was the least exciting weekend this season. Track is pretty good, but somehow empty around (I love the mountains though). Bravo to Checa, he was excellent. I'm a Bayliss (and Haga) fan so

Did I hear correctly that Haga never broke a bone till now? Any news on Xaus? That was pretty sad sight.

same thing happened when they went to Laguna. Mladin had been telling the world how he was going to kick some WSB butt. Only he didn't. If memory serves, he pulled out of Race 2 cos he was tired or sumik. Arse

That's true. Haga has been un-breakable til now. Gotta take your hat off to the guy - it must have hurt everytime he moved let alone under hard breaking.
