Spies ride revealed Sterilgarda M1

Ben Spies will make his Yamaha MotoGP debut this weekend in Valencia, Spain, and here's the bike he'll do it on - the Sterilgarda Yamaha M1.

Spies will ride in the special livery before switching to the Tech 3 Yamaha colors on Monday when testing begins for the 2010 MotoGP World Championship in Valencia.

The newly crowned World Superbike Champion won 14 races this season in his rookie year in the series.

"I'm really excited for the opportunity to raced at Valencia this weekend," Spies said in a Yamaha release today. "I'm fully aware that MotoGP is a big step up from World Superbike and realize it's not going to be possible to achieve the same results in my first year there. I see this weekned as an opportunity to spend some time on the bike and start learning it for next season, and to have some fun as well."

Xaus's old number.? maybe they think thats where he's at level wise.(I'LL GET MY COAT)

Sterilgarda probably wont share enough of the "real estate" on the bike
to merit Jordan's logo. It would be great to have Jordan's participation,
but I gotta say, the Jordan livery on the AMA bikes was about as ugly
as I've seen.

I like the way it looks. Too bad Jordan didn't make the cut though Frost.

#11 use to be Spies' number in the AMA (well at least is was when he wasn't wearing the #1)

Maybe he can bring Sterilgarda with him in 2010. While dropping the blue for mat black and adding Jordan.

You think they are ugly now,do you remember when they had that gold, bass boat metalflake scheme. We used to stand and laugh at them in the paddock and call it Earl Bentz racing.I dont think the technicians ever did figure out what the .... we were talking about.

The Spies bike is beautiful

Bring it on!!! Can't wait to see him in there, JL has done well and more life is needed, hopefully a serious Five-Way battle next year like the days of old........
