So, Stoner blames his tire for the crash?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BigAl @ Sep 8 2008, 01:03 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>you mean exactly how he did it in Brno?

I was only talking about his mistakes at Misano, there were a few of them that contributed to his DNF. However to solely blame the tyre, which is what he did was laughable. The tyre didn't make him crash. If the tyre can't handle those speeds you have to dial it back in. He would of had the warning signs. He will learn from this and be a better rider in the long run.

His wrist was not a factor in the crash, certainly not a major one. Casey said following the race that it played no part. Only Suppo thought the crash was caused due to his injury. Do these two not talk to each other? They certainly don't seem to be on the same hymn sheet. I guess they do however Suppo knows Bridgestone weren't to blame.

Stoner crashed while riding like hell seconds ahead of anyone else. Funny how this gets turned around to him being a loser for crashing whatever the reason. The guy is faster than anyone and other than Rossi where the hell is everyone else? There is no one even in their league. He isn't Depuniet crashing from mid-field. He's in the lead untouchable by anyone unless he ..... up and so he ...... up. The season and championship may be over for him but the future belongs to him already. Now if we can only get him to switch to the GS...

Well, Stoner and Rossi certainly looks to be in another league but I suspect we will see more of Pedrobot and Lorenzo, probably allready this weekend. But there still seems to be a bit of a gap from the top 3-4 riders and the rest. So far both Pedrosa and Lorenzo had to rely on Michelin tires and that has turned out to be disasterous, probably for both. I expect them bot to be up up there, Pedrosa often and Lorenzo more and more often as his consistency improve.
As for Stoners crash, I tend to agre with R1 SF on this one. It was a combination of factors, as boring as it is it's more often than not the case.

I think Stoner is still learning the limits of the bike and TC is not making it easy. Apparently, GP riders ride in the gray zone -- almost of the verge of crashing. Thus it is important for them to get every little bit of feedback in order to keep the bike from crashing. IMHO with all the TC, this feel has been numbed. This has been Rossi's chief complaint with TC. I think Rossi is able to ride closer to the edge because his bike gives him a better feel -- for whatever reason, less TC, better chassis etc. Stoner, on the other hand, surprises himself when he crashes not knowing what happened.

If he admitted it you would be stuffed.

I mean, if he came out and said 'hey, I choked' what is left for you to hang the .... on so to speak.
