Yea, pretty cool picture. That bike has brakes....just like a bicycle, just push back on the pedals, it's all you need to slow down from a top speed of 40+mph.

I wondered that ..... just thought it was a pretty "iffy" way to fight against an engine but I guess I have to think that bikes where pretty much "morphed" push bikes back then.

Still thats a 99 year old bike ...... beautiful bit of gear ...... he's a lucky guy.

If i was Repsol Honda boss,i would have been shitten kittens watching him ride a 100 year old bike with basically zero protection on his head,or for that matter any where else.Their is another pic of him in full tuck at 40mph on the strait.40 aint much but enough to get you killed if something breaks and all you have on your head is a piece of leather

that bike reminds me of some of the board track bikes of the era with the low bars for that aerodynamic tuck. Board track racing in the day was the most dangerous form of racing at the time with bike speeds in the neighborhood of 100 mph. Imagine going that fast with nothing but a piece of leather on your grape.

Haha, that's a great picture. Ah the dog and pony shows these guys must do....

It must have been pretty interesting though to ride such a bike.

He also did some laps on the new CBR100RR where he said he was reaching speeds of 150 in the strait. He said the GP bike would go over 200.

cause thats EXACTLY what it is..an old board track racer.

Nicky did the opposite of James Toseland. Instead of losing weight to get the Dani Pedrosa advantage, he just got a new, vastly lighter bike.

Out here in Idaho I see it all the time, we have no helmet law. I see plenty of young bike holligans and Harley cruisers that are out there risking their melon at such speeds.
