Aiming for Silverstone and Laguna next year, but a wee trip tae the Hill would be braw mate!

Will keep you posted

Pete

Little Red, you did make an impact on me as well "mate". You are as gritty as my buddy BassPete. Thanks again for getting us those tix and sorry about having to walk half-way around the world to get them to us. We were so lost that we figured we just better stay put and let you "locals" come to us.

Its more important to be nice, and you are to credit for this revelation. BTW, Pete has launched the first salvo for next year, I'd recommend you skip Miller (though I've been there twice, its very nice there) but its NO Laguna. You'd have a better time there since I would have the pleasure of treating you and Pete as royalty (well as royal as you can get at a camp site). Wsbk Miller is about 10 hours away from me, and I wouldn't be able to do much except wish you a nice time. But for Laguna, you could fly into Los Angles a few day early, I could show you the sites, as I intend to do with Pete. Then I could take you up to Laguna in style. Bring you boy too.

Make sure you come back to the Laguna meet up thread and read what goes down this year. That will probably convince you.

Down there we met Caramac(hope thats the correct spelling) didn't really have the time for a proper chat but seemed like a really nice bloke.

Oh yeah, you got that right, for sure he really is a nice bloke, although the Mrs might tell you otherwise
<

Seriously though it was great to meet your good self and shovel albeit only for a short time, it also would've been good to meet the rest of the guys as well but maybe some other time eh?

All in all we had a good weekend but ugh, that weather on raceday, truly .....

Cheers Jumks

The walk was fun, I enjoy an adventure.

Would love to and could do laguna if it were not for my job.

My work takes me into schools to do repairs so when the kids are off I cannot be and laguna falls in the largest break of them all. So all the largest jobs are kept for this holiday.

Unless there's a shake up or I change job I fear I may never see a guna gp

So doing miller for 2 reasons

1 Because I slagged it off after wsbk this year so going to make a proper judgment for me.

2 To meet up with Shovel & Dave on your side of the pond. Weve become good mates through gp.

The laguna thread is a must read when I come on, & it fills me with excitement for you all & envy all at the same time. I WANNA GO!!!!!

Hey Man yeah always next year or do you do any other races? bsb wsbk?

Kept an eye out for you down in the paddock but never saw you.

Did you get anywhere good?

My son managed to blag a walk down the pitlane just before the gp boys went out on raceday.

Yeah shame about the weather but it didn't dampen out spirits

Just had another one of those very spicy ethnic indian meals that Jum, Gator and Levi enjoyed so much whilst over in our beautiful country. As i was eating it, I started to laugh as I remembered Gator making a desperate dash across 3 carriageways and the central reservation to get to a petrol station so he could take an emergency dump. SWAMP ASS !!!!

Well I've just had a fantastic time, some damn fine old bikes been riden by peeps as young as 15 (to my knowledge SHE was the youngest) to 83!!! I had the pleasure of meeting this geezer, he was an american called Bob and jeez what a guy, He came off in is last race, didn't see it but ran on to the grass going up the hill after the start fin straight and had a tumble.

Back in the paddock he was fine just brushed it off as one of those things. He's fast become one of my hero's and really looking forward to seeing him again.

So!! It looks like I'm having two trips to Knockhill next year
<
and will doing a few other classic racing events too its so cool just walking round talking to competitors about their bikes where there from etc.

Made a lot of new friends this weekend all thanks to Andy who some of you from the USA might know, He's been over to I think it was Indy one year and is a friend of Shovelhead.

So if your peeking here Thanks Andy for a fantastic weekend!!

I cant remember lil red, which was "andy" and the other dudes name. But if "Andy" is the heavy set fellow, that dude was cool. Never turned down a drink i offered him. Cant say the same for the other skinny bloke, i think his name was "Scouser" (well at least my other Brit mates wer calling him that).
