Silverstone 2016

Family of three could get to and stay in Yosemite for a fortnight for a third of that.

I dunno, it bewilders me, but there's some odd fixation with the theme park pilgrimage in the UK, the excuse invariably being, I did it for the kids. My instinct was to fire up a kids imagination in the wild and explore parts of the John Muir trail with my daughter..perhaps that makes me a bad parent?

Bad parent?

I might be one. I took my kids on a trek to see this on the sole reason it was advertised as Hayden's Cabin. Nicky wasn't home; the upside: the hike was through pine trees, alpine lakes, and meadows.

No dude had enough of the rain on the last to visits there and bloody freezing cold, thanks :cold: rather watch it on telly and save our money for our next MOTOGP in Spain where its HOT!!!
I've stood on Alaskan glaciers warmer than Shiverstone. But if I lived in UK I'd never miss it. Best times of my life were spent freezing my balls off in the stands of the Int'l Straight, not to mention a monsoon at Brooklands, and for good measure a hastily retreat to the shitters at Copse.

THat's cool. I got no kids of my own but my neighbors daughters (probably 4-5yrs old ish?) call me Motorcycle lady and they adore me. I'm making sure that they will be either riding a motorcycle or a guy on motorcycle in the future.

Thanks to another member I have available two paddock passes for the weekend.
Note: with a pass no ticket is needed unless you want a grandstand seat.

PM me for details
Cheers Red:cool:

1 and a half sleeps to go. Anyone seeing a fat bald bloke with a "Obviously your ambition outweighed your talent" hoody, a saltire flag and a pint or 2, come and say "do you want a beer??"

Traveled down Thursday night/Friday morning. Great time at Hamilton fields again. Bit of a hike but kids love the scalextric.
Just back this afternoon. Glad to have spent the extra night and avoid the usual Silverstone fire drill at the end. Traffic looked brutal.

Arrived weds aft, was on Litchlake, nothing flash but we don't need owt except a crapper :giggle: ended up watching the racing going back to camp for a chinwag and scrutinise what we all saw, six people five different places, over a brew, broke camp and filtered out about aif seven ish, No real dramas on the route back up the mickey one home for just after nine.
Been back in my bed, Priceless. ;)
